Maximum Dinobots #3 Discussion Spoilers

Good issue, good series so far!
The bit with Shockwave at the end was perfect, his comment about how much damage he could do to Earth in the time he was supposed to use to "handle" the rogue Dinobots and Cassetticons was perfect.
So in the second issue, it's Slag throwing a fit, this issue it's Swoop. I'm excited to see this type of dynamic in the group. I like that Simon is addressing that they are a team together but that they are a team of loners and rebels. So what type of a leader does Grimlock have to be to keep them all in line?
I think ultimately Max Dinos is going to be about Grimlock and his coming of age in to leadership, and will have huge amounts to say about teamwork in general. This is especially refreshing as this is coming out during the same time that the G1 Marvel run is being released (currently on Volume 3) which shows a Grimlock in a leadership role but in high contrast to his character in the Max Dinos series.
Additionally, the same sort of thing could be said about Scorponok. Recently the Energon Ultimate collection was released and so I'm sure I'm not alone in haveing just watched the series and seen a very different Scorponok than how his is portrayed in Max Dinos. It has been nice to see Scorponok as the menacing "big bad" this time around instead of a weird flip-flopping flunkie who gets his face bashed in everyonce in a while, like the Scorponok of Energon did.
I'll also say, given the wide array of radically different stories in the Transformers multiverse, I'm having no problem at all reading Max Dinos alongside AHM. Can I possibly be alone in that? The comics forum has been very quite for the last few issue releases... are there truly fans out there who have given up on all of the IDW offering simply because of a few continuity issues between AHM and the Simon stories?
