Newsarama have posted their report on IDW Publishing's Panel from Wondercon '09.

While the bulk of the Panel relating to Transformers concerned the Transformers: ROTF comic prequels Alliance and Defiance, Denton Tipton has also revealed that long time Transformers Scribe Simon Furman will be in charge of the Movie Adaptation.

Denton also revealed the next Character to be given the Spotlight treatment: Cliffjumper.
Spotlight: Cliffjumper will be written by Denton Tipton and All Hail Megatron writer Shane McCarthy, and will be set post AHM, dealing with loose ends from the same series. Robby Russo will be on Art duties, with Don Figueroa creating an alternate cover.

Musso!? Crap. Him AND McCarthy on a comic together? That means a lot of BIG pictures of robots with their hips jutting out and their heads too small for their bodies. Pass.

So let me get this straight......

IDW gives a guy a 12 issue miniseries in a continuity he didnt read.

He flubs it to the point where they have to create a "Coda" to explain the flubs.

Now, they are giving the same guy a Spotlight in continuity to explain the loose ends that he somehow couldnt finish in 12 whole issues.

Vector Sigma......

Who does this guy have pictures of?

As a big Cliffy fan this will have to be on pre-order, but with reservations as I haven't taken to AHM as much as the other IDW comics.

I agree. Fully. Except, by the end of the coda it's going to be 16 issues that he couldn't tie up all the loose ends. Spotlight: Cliffjumper makes 17 issues.

so is the all hail megatron series coming to an end or just post poned i have vol 1 tpb of theseries i dont what to expect in vol 2 just of yet.

A young fan was told that issue four of Transformers: Alliance will debut the line-up of Transformers featuring in the film, though no specifics were allowed to be leaked for fear of Hasbro's ninja. A fan was told that while there would be no Xbox monster appearing in the comics, but the Ybox that appeared in the film will make an appearance.
does this mean heel be in the film to.?
