Just want to point out first that i love animated, but a serious gritty tf cartoon like this would rock.

That is not TF that is the newer Adult version of GI Joe-Resolutte, which is a lot of mini episodes and then it will be shown later at the end of the month on Adult Swim.

The new GI Joe is bloodier, violentier and even cussing is in it not for little kids.

There is not even any talks regarding another TF series being made for the time being why are you even worryied about it.

For one Animated still has some life left in it about 5 or 6 episodes remaining in it before it gets the axe.

Also the original G1 is getting a re-release finally hopefully re-mastered, better sound like how SONY did the G1 Movie.

Also Revenge is coming out at the end of June 24.

So they wont be any new TF series for a while at least maybe sometime next year.

Or Transformers could be but on the backburner for awhile until they get ready to release the next series.

Whatever it is and wheneever it will be released so just sit back and enjoy the transformers we have going on now.

Plenty to keep us busy while they work out the details on the next series.

Look I wanna see the next Series but I am not in any hurry as I am still enjoying animated while it is still on for the time being.

Which is what I (and no doubt many others) would love to see our favourite giant machines of war portrayed in.

Hence why we want a TF series LIKE GI Joe Resolute. Something that shows real war, with Autobots and Decepticons actually getting shot and killed ala G1 Movie, and maybe a little human splatter would be fun too.

I'd watch it.

Hasbro stated that if Resolute is successful enough they will make something similar for Transformers.

Sounds like we need a community based advertising campaign for GI Joe Resolute.

Watch the webisodes? watch the broadcasts, buy the toys... This is our chance.

The moment is now.

I'll do what I can. [edit- New Sig...]

Was that said in one of the previous Hasbro Q&As?

No, it was stated in an interview/article about GIJo Resolute. It was posted on here some time ago, I think around the same time that the first promo video was shown at a convention, the one with the "We have a Ninja?!" line.

I'd much rather it go this route than the Fear That Keeps Me Up At Night: that it turns entirely to a submoronic children's cartoon the way Scooby Doo has. Mind you, Scooby never was much for the intelligentsia, but it seems that any time a series has a lifespan of over 10 years, it gets cretinized.

Many people's initial objections to TFA, you'll remember, is that it was too pitched to kids. It turns out that it's not: it's pretty enjoyable even if one has managed to survive puberty. I just don't want them to take that one extra step downwards.

HK, yo gabba gabba.

Thanks for the reminder that Resolute is going on right now! I was over here with my head up my aft and my Resolute Cobra Commander sitting all lonely on my shelf. (hottest cobra commander figure ever)

I'll buy up other resolute figures, right now though for the most part they just seem like 25th anniversary repaints. Like the Firefly, he's the same but blue. The B.A.T. looks great in red and black though, I'll pick that up if it's sold single or if the pack with the black Resolute CC goes on sale.

Back to TF though, I know that it's because of the other stuff going on right now and the upcoming end of Animated that I am also wondering and dreading what might be next.

My first hope is that Animated will continue in IDW comics for at least another 12 issues as a comic "season 4" to keep it going. Doubly nice would be if that comic was a bit more "hardcore" for adults. The show has danced around the edges of that a few times already, and the comic would be the perfect place to jump over.

I thought of another idea for a Transformers Series. One that takes place entirely on Cybertron. Like all TF series some ideas are reused from past series other ideas are new.

Autobots

Optimus Prime (Leader) Cybertronian Truck
Rodimus Prime (Second in command) Cybertronian Car
Primal Prime (Maximal) Technorganic Gorilla
Omega Prime (Repair Bot) Cybertronian Car Carrior: The name came from RID and this one probly changed the most from his original character sence this is now a single character rather than a combination of Optimus and Magnus.
Vector Prime (Airrial Assult Exspert) Cybertronian Jet
Sentinal Prime (Popus Gas Bag) Cybertronain Tank

Decepticons

Galvatron (Leader) Cybertronain Tank: There's a reason why I skiped Megatron completly and just desided he'd be called Galvatron from the verry start of the series but I'll exsplain that at the end.
Scourge (Want-to-be leader) Cybertronian Jet: I think G1 Cyclonus was the original power hungry character but I think this character would be simular in design to G1 while being simular in personality to RID.
Cyclonus (Dooface) Cybertronian Helicopter: This one I gave the personality of Armada Cyclonus rather than G1 and the vehicle mode but I'd try to design the robot mode close to G1.
Tarantulas (Predacon Leader) Technorganic Spider: This guy I'd really like to look like a male version of Beast Machines Blackarachnia. I made him the Predacon leader like RID Scourge was the Decepticon leader being the only one in his group who isn't part of the combiner. His personality would be verry inteligent like Tarantulas but without the betraying everyone including his own team mates part.
Ramhorn (Tripdacus) Technorganic Rhino: Allthough the original Tripdacus Ramhorn was a beetle I didn't feel like haveing 2 insectoid type characters in the same group so I went with Ramhorn's G1 beast mode.
Sea Clamp (Tripdacus) Technorganic Lobster
Cicadacon (Tripdacus) Technorganic Wasp: I'm not sure what kind of bug BW Cicadacon actully was but I decided to make him a wasp.
Soundwave (Stratigist) Cybertronian Sonic Jet: Combination of G1 Soundwave's personality with Cybertron Soundwave's abilitys.

Other

Sideways/Nemesis Prime (Decepticon Traitor) Cybertronian Motorcycle: Mostly based on Armada Sideways but insted of being a spy I wanted to use the name Nemesis Prime some how for an Autobot and that name just wouldn't sound right as an Autobot name (even though I've used it in "Sword of Primus") unless I make him a former Decepticon.
Shockwave/Longarm Prime (Decepticon Spy) Cybertronian Crane with wrecking ball: Exact same concept as Animated version except without the dual vehicle and robot modes. He's kinda like Armada Scavenger how he pretended to be a Decepticon for so long before he finally reviealed himself as an Autobot. Shockwave is able to live up to his name by dropping his wrecking ball.

Now the reason why all the Autobots are Primes and Galvatron is the leader, there's no Megatron as the Decepticon leader in this series except I'd like to see a series where we see his rise to power so the former leader is actully going to be Scourge. Megatron wants to join the Decepticons and lead them but he has to challange the current leader to a battle. He comes verry close to killing Scourge but then Scourge swares allegence to Megatron to save his own skin. Behind his back he plots to regain leadership rather than to just gain it.

All the Autobots change their names to "Prime" in accordance with the Covinant of Primus.

The Decepticons however take their names from the Herolds of Unicron.

Primus and Unicron in this series don't actully exsist but the Transformers think they do allthough the reason for the war has nothing to do with that.

Anyway, after joining the Decepticons and takeing over as leader Megatron changes his name to Galvatron because Galvatron is a legendary "Herold of Unicron" in the Decepticon's religion.

As you can see the character's I've chosen are all Primes and Herolds of Unicron from past series. (The Predacons never actully exsplained offically but it's suspected that they were created by Unicron and that's good enough for me.)

I was allso thinking that insted of showing the end of a war or them allready being at war like they've done in the past, showing the START of the war. The Decepticons would be a secret organization to begine with, one that no one has ever heard of before untill they make their first attack under the leadership of Scourge.

The Autobots would be just Optimus and Rodimus to start out with sence they wouldn't have much need for the Autobots at the time. (Autobots being peace keepers) Other Transformers characters would appear but as civilians.
