I first heard IDW's reprint of DW's Generation 1 Volume 3 was due out in March '09. Then I read somewhere, I forget now, that it's June '09. Has anyone heard anything on whether or not this will see the light of day?

I still am trying to get my hands on a copy of IDW's reprint of War and Peace. If anyone lives in or very, very close to Smithtown, NY could you please PM me.

I didn't know that IDW reprinted the old DW G1 run!

I just have volume 1, Prime Directive, DW print.

Volume 2 seems to be about $40 on Amazon for the DW print.

Volume 3 I'm not sure ever could exist. It was an unfinished ongoing thing. Just like IDW couldn't include the few The War Within, Age of Wrath issues that came out in to the War Within Omnibus, I've given up hope for them re-printing any of the ongoing.

I'm not sure what the go is with the third volume, I believe they may be able to reprint the first 6-10 issues of the ongoing (volume 3) but obviously cannot go past that because of legal issues, much the same as War Within Vol 3...

I just saw on Borders.com they have it up for pre-order with a release date of June 30th listed. We can only hope it really happens...

Again if anyone lives by Fourth World Comics in Smithtown, NY please shoot me a PM.

Not all of that material was paid for by DW, so don't expect IDW to reprint it any time soon. They're probably not going to sink resources into paying the creators for it just to reprint a dead-ended story. Time to let go.

And lastly, believe very little of what Amazon tells you about un-solicited books.
