I posted this in another thread, but a spinoff sitcom starring Sam's parents would be pretty good. No Sam or Transformers though, except maybe a guest appearance.

I watched the entire Animated series last week, so I'm a bit upset it's cancelled.
I have no idea what they'll do next.

Why? It had a good dub. The only things that would really need to be changed would be the references to the previous two series (which take up about 5% of the entire series, the other 95% is pretty accurate to the real story). Does that 5% really make it unwatchable to you?
Besides, it would be rather pointless to redub it just for that, as Takara retconned Galaxy Force back in with Micron Legend and Super Link, making it the "Micron Trilogy".

"Transformers: Resolute" should be next. That, or an DTV movie based on the current IDW series.
Just something that will give fans hope on the small screen to make up for the recent Krypto, the Wonder Dog version of Transformers that has been on Cartoon Network.

But Energon hasn't been on CN for years!

Just kidding(though I thought Animated was great), but they probably did share a few voice actors between Krypto and Energon. The guy who voiced Ironhide(also Kira from Gundam Seed) did one of the penguin's birds in an episode I caught some of.

We've been having this discussion on another thread and a few of us have also tossed notions back and forth regarding Cybertronian evolution and the possibilties involved with that. There are a lot of things that CAN be done but whether or not the powers that be, over the next several months, will actually take a well thought out approach as to the future of this franchise entertainment wise or whether they just throw something out there short-term to keep us quiet, remains to be seen. I'm afraid that I may know the answer to my own question on that one and it's not an answer that I particularly care for. Expect to see a new TF cartoon by mid 2010, just don't expect to see the cartoon that you would ultimately HOPE to see. I'm hoping that I'm wrong, I really am, but I'm afraid that we are going to either get a rushed version of Classics in a cartoon or, dare I say it, a Robot Heroes style cartoon in an effort to rope in more of the kiddies and the not so disposable income that Hasbro thinks their parents have. If you want me to go for the "Hat Trick" then I'll really step in it and say a cartoon based on the new movies complete with Sam, Mikaela, Lennox and Epps with the occasional cameo by Simmons.
Good luck getting any sleep tonight...

I never considered that, and it's not as far fetched as you might think:

From Marvel Animation Age:
Marvel Super Hero Squad to ‘Hero up!’ with
Cartoon Network U.S.
All-New Marvel Super Hero Squad Animated Series to
Debut on Cartoon Network in Late 2009
Cartoon Network has picked up 26 episodes of the all-new Marvel Super Hero Squad animated series to debut on the network in late 2009. Marvel Super Hero Squad is an action-packed show featuring super-stylized versions of its most popular characters including Captain America, Silver Surfer, Hulk, Wolverine and Iron Man.
When the greatest heroes on the planet unite to face the world’s greatest villains, you get the biggest, most family-friendly Super Hero team-up in TV history… Super Hero Squad. It’s no small job protecting Super Hero City from VillainVille’s infamous criminals… but Iron Man, Wolverine, the Hulk, the Silver Surfer, Thor and the Falcon are always up for the job.
Shouting “Hero Up!” as they rush into battle, the Squad must keep Dr. Doom’s allies from gathering pieces of the Infinity Sword. Otherwise, Doom will use the Sword to rule the universe! Luckily, the City is filled with Marvel Super Hero guest-stars to help out in a pinch. These brave heroes totally deliver the action – but with plenty of humor on the side.
Marvel has attracted some superstar talent to play the roles of the dynamic heroes and villans of Marvel Super Hero Squad including: Tom Kenny (Spongebob), Charlie Adler (Transformers 1 & 2), Steve Blum (Wolverine and the X-Men, Hulk Vs.) and Grey DeLisle (Fairly Oddparents and The Replacements).
Marvel has also secured some superstar talent to play the guest-stars of Marvel Super Hero Squad including: Wayne Knight (Seinfeld), LeVar Burton (Reading Rainbow, Star Trek: The Next Generation), Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl, 17 Again, Buffy), Greg Grunberg (Heroes), Lena Headey (Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, 300), Adrian Pasdar (Heroes), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galatica), Jennifer Morrison (House), Tamera Mowry (Twitches and Sister, Sister), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street films) and Stan Lee as the Mayor of Super Hero City.
Eric Rollman, Marvel’s President of Animation commented; “We are thrilled to have Cartoon Network as the U.S home for the show and appreciate the hard work everyone at the network have put into making this deal come to fruition. Marvel Super Hero Squad represents many firsts for Marvel in that it’s our first Marvel Universe show inclusive of characters from across the many worlds of Marvel and our first action series with a humorous twist. The commitment both Marvel and Cartoon Network have made to this show should establish it as an evergreen fixture for both companies for many years to come.”
Hasbro, the world’s leader in action figures, is the Master Licensee for Marvel Super Hero Squad toys which have already seen success at retail.
Executive Producers: Alan Fine, Simon Phillips and Eric S. Rollman
Co-Executive Producer: Joe Quesada
Supervising Producer: Cort Lane

When you've been around the block as many times as I have you start to notice patterns in how things are going and nothing that is supposedly "new" surprises you anymore. It was a fairly easy connection to make after seeing the set-up of the Robot Heroes book and noticing the fact that the Star Wars, Marvel and Robot Heroes figures are going over so well with both fans and youngsters. I was (and still am) hoping that Hasbro doesn't stickk to just this tact if approaching the new cartoon and I'm sure that they won't. I can see a cartoon like that being released in a DVD series or on Noggin but not going Mainstream since it's too age specific. That would seriously hurt Hasbros wallet. I very much like the idea for the younger viewers and I would be thrilled to see it released for little kids, just not as Hasbros primary hook for the TF line. I think that would likely start a riot.

Dont expect any kind of new series on transformers until mid-summer 10 or late winter 10 this is my guess and I basing this on the fact that they havent even rolled out the new channel also.
Also Cartoon Network owns the name and rights to the animated franchise so the new one on the Hasbro/Discovery channel when or if they ever decide to make it or not will not be anything to do or about the animated series.
The next new series will be done in a new direction and maybe in a new art direction with new characters, formers and story telling who or what those will be is a mystery until they decide to release the info on it.
I say that they are currently in the process right now of trying to figure out what new direction the next show will go in and what it will be about also what kind of art direction it will be made in.
Then they got to right the script for the series, hire directors, producers, voice actors and animators.
Then they got to get into the process of drawing it and transfering it and that is a long length process.
Also can explain why they havent announced anything cause they are currently trying to roll out the new channel and also work on new ideas for transformers.
So no nothing new will be done until way way into next year and dont expect any announcements for quite sometime either.
But all is not lost: They will be Animated Season 3 on DVD and we can watch it the way it was meant to be seen,
Also Revenge will be out bye the end of the year on DVD & Blue-Ray Disks. Also the rest of the re-releases of Generation 1 on DVD sets done bye Shout Factory. Season 2 will be out this September or October and Season 3 maybe around the end of the year Q1 2010.
I am hoping that Hasbro makes more Ultimate DVD Sets like with Cybertron/Energon I would love to see Armada, Beast Wars and even though I didnt like Beast Machnines I would watch it again also.
I would also love it if they would localize some from Japan that has never been seen in North America: Victory, The Headmasters, Super God Master Force.
Also I whish to god someone would do something for R.I.D. I would love to see that series once again It is long over due for a DVD release here in North America.
I know it has been released a couple of times in the UK but we have never got the series here in the US.
It hasnt beeen seen here since its dimise back on Fox Kids either 1999-2001 if I am correct on that I think the series was roughly around 26 episodes cause it got the axe.

RiD had 39 episodes. It aired from September 8, 2001 to March 23, 2002 and continued to air in reruns till during the summer of that year. It finished up completely
before Fox Kids kicked the bucket, having its final airdate on September 7, 2002. The following weekend, September 14, was the very first showing of teh FoxBox, which became 4Kids TV in 2005, and then that died off in 2008, putting its programming on what had at that time become The CW4Kids, which continues to this day.

Sorry Saber I got confused on my R.I.D. History like I said it has been 5 or 6 years since I saw it last on Fox I really miss that series and I would love to watch it but it dosent look like that is ever going to happen.
I give up on a localized R.I.D. Set for North America and I Have no Idea were to get a copy or how to pay for it with an international money order if I did decide to purchase it from some place such as the UK.
It deserves a North America release but it will never ever get made if it was it would have done so along time ago.
I havt no idea what is going on with who owns the rights to the show, I know it is locked up in a vault somewhere were it will never be seen again.
God it sucks sometimes I wished I lived in the UK or Japan least I could get decent releases of transformers sets were here in the US we never get good sets.
But every once in a while we may get something good or decent but hardly ever any more.

I cant watch video's on my PC cause I live in a Dead-Zone where I can barely get 56k so my options are limited.
That is why I always wait for the dvd releases of my shows I like but sadly to say R.I.D. will never get the dvd treatment in North America.
So I have give up all hope on that front. Also I am going to log off the forums for a while due to thier nothing go on new in the transformers universe for quiet sometime.
Revenge has done come and gone. It will be 2 years or so before Transformers 3 hits in 2011 or 2012 unclear when it will be. Also still unclear when the next animated series of transformers will be brough back on tv once again.
I say Mid-Summer 2010 or Later Winter 2010 due to the fact the new channel hasnt even been brought out yet and still unclear when that will be either just an estimated release date of 2010 and that can mean anytime throughout 2010.
Also they will still be re-releases of Generation 1 throughout the rest of the year and part of next year being done by shout factory.
Still unclear if HASBRO has any plans for future Ultimate Collections such as with Energon/Cybertron but we do no that they will be bringing Animated Season 3 on DVD sometime soon.
Whats next for transformers I have no idea it is still to far into the future to even think about it. Well they be a transformers 3 movie yes giving the fact that 2 is still going on strong so this is a gimme that they will be a third and possible final film since it is seen as a trilogy.
On rather or not Micheal Bay will return plenty of time to make up is mind rather or not he chooses to or not and plenty of time to replace him with another director if he chooses not to comeback and complete the franchise.
So the next movie wont be out for 2 years or so and the next cartoon wont be out for another year or so, It looks like transformers will be in stand-by mode for a while.
No Idea what the next animated series will be about or when or if it will be out or be made
No Idea what TF 3 will be about or who will be in it or direct it
So this is another reason I am logging off for awhile cause nothing is going on right now in the transformers universe and it will be quiet sometime before anything new hits.
I enjoyed Revenge an excellent movie and I enjoyed Transformers Animated so far now it is time for me recharge my batteries and give transformers a break for the time being.
This is not the end I just need a break from transformers for awhile.
Rodimus2006 shall rise again

Whaddya mean? You don't have to go. There's plenty to talk about. Particularly about the ROTF movie in the Movie Forum section. Just cuz there aren't any new shows out yet doesn't mean there's nothing to chat about. Why not stop trying to look for what's coming and live in the here & now of the ROTF movie and toyline? What is so bad about ROTF that makes you think that you have to go into hibernation?

Yeah, don't hibernate,we want the extra mental muscle here. Personally, I would love to see the brainstorming we have going in this thread build further and take on new life of it's own. (Yeah, I know I still have homework due here to contribute but I spent all weekend with my kids so I've got a note.

)
I'm also brainstorming with genozaur (across 2 sites no less) on ideas that would make the average TF fans brain explode if they thought too hard on it. Stuff that would tie in awsome with what we have going here as well as stand-alone TF stuff that would take a half dozen other anime series' and stand them on their heads.
There's plenty of mischief for a Seibertronian to get into around here. And hey, when things get too slow we all sneak onto the "Trek" sites, slide up behind some of the mods, tug their fake Vulcan ears and then run like hell! "Romulan tipping" is pretty fun too.

I got my reasons for wanting to log of I need to catch up on everthing else for the time being.
I didnt hate Revenge I loved the movie as I just saw it the other 2 and I have seen it twice since its opening ar theaterers I just dont seem whats the point in talking about it that and animated since animated is finished now and also revenge wont be on at the the theaters much longer maybe another week or so.
I am going to concentrate on newer TV shows
Stargate - Universe
The Venture Bros. - Season 4 (Final Season)
The Boondocks - Season 3
The Clone Wars - Season 2
Batman - The Brave & The Bold
The Spectacular Spiderman - Season 2
Wolverine & The X Men
Ironman - The Animated Series
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - Season 2
I also got to finish collecting my Dragon Ball Zs on DVD sets and I am hoping they re-do Dragon Ball like how they are doing for DBZ.
Also some of my other anime's may get new seasons I am hoping
Ah My Goddess - Season 3
Tenchi Muyo - A Knight's Tale
Dragon Ball Z - Goku & His Friends
Vandread - OVA Episodes
Also waiting on some games
Metroid Prime - The Other M
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Resident Evil - Darkside chronicles
Final Fantasy CC-Crystal Bearers
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Tekken 6
Mass Effect 2
Alpha Protocol
Dragon Age
TNA Impact 2
WWE Smackdown 2010
Final Fantasy 13
Metal Gear Solid - Risen
Metal Gear Solid - Peacewalker
I can go on and on with the games I know everything coming out. This is another reason I am taking some time away as they are so many new games and animes I need time to catch up on everything.
However this is not the end for me just need a break from tf for awhile however I will be frequent visiting Seibertron.com too check see if there is anything news worthy to be talking about.
Also I will continue to due research on my own like I did with animated and I will try to provide proof this time on anything I come across regarding the movies of transformers, the new channel or the next series.
That is one of the things I didnt get dont right when I did my research on animated however I was still right on most of the things I found on animated.
I said that animated would end after S3 and I was right on that
I said that animated would be just 13 episodes and I was right on that
I said that animated would start in spring 2009 and I was right on that
However I didnt have anything to back up my claims and everyone blasted me for it but who was right and who was wrong I was that who.
Lets see what else I will be right about this time around
Next new series wont be out till mid 2010 or late 2010
Transformers 3 will be the last film seen as a trilogy and wont be out till 2011 or 2012
Dont know if Unicron will be in it , Dont know if Galvatron will be in it, and dont know if Micheal Bay will return or not to close out the franchise.
I loved being on these boards as it is one of the best places on the net to gather info on transformers I have found out good stuff on transformers and I have goten my transformers history cleared up since I havent seen some of the shows since they last aired on TV.
Well I am going to pull a Micheal Bay and take a break from the Transformers world for awhile now however if I come across anything news worthy I will post it up on seibertron.com
Thanks and Bye for Now

I have a suggestion that would make a good new series:
...........it is a time of peace and prosperity for the Autobots. Megatron and his cohorts have been imprisoned. Omega Supreme is back on duty searching the galaxy for the Decepticon Remnant. And Ultra Magnus is about to pass on the rank of Magnus to a lucky militia bot!
This series takes place 2 years after the Transformers Animated Series! Optimus and Sentinel Prime are both expectant to get the rank of Magnus, Sari is the new Police Chief of New Detroit and keeper of the reborn Allspark, Arcee is back on schoolteacher duty, and Bumblebee, Ratchet, Bulkhead, and Optimus have done their best in the Elite Guard the past 2 years, their team consisting of the above bots, Jazz, Sentinel, Jetfire, Jetstorm, and Ironhide(TEAM OPTIMUS), who are considered the largest and best team the Elite Guard has ever seen in millenia. But what everybot expects to be a prosperus and succesful future, isn't meant to be...............
About 5 months before the ceremony of the new Magnus, we find out that Soundwave is back, and he's not alone. He found the fembot Starscream, Slipstream, ripped out her spark, found the real deal, and brought him back. Starscream decided to free Megatron, and stay on his good side. They searched the galaxy for other Decepticons. And what they got were Blitzwing, Swindle, Scorponok, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Cyclonus, Brawl, Crumplezone, Sideways, and Demolisher. They soon found the old Spark Signal Cloaking Device, invaded Cybertron, and freed Megatron, Shockwave, and Lugnut. But the Autobots got a transmission from the guard Cliffjumper, before he was blasted to pieces. When Team Optimus and Ultra Magnus got there, it got bad. But soon, the decepticons retreated after Autobot reinforcements arrived. As soon as Megatron had been blasted into space(literally),he was a wreck. But then, he'd unexpectedly made a space warp to what the Transformers designated Planet X. But in it's place floated what resembled Planet X. IT WAS UNICRON(DUM DUM DUUUUUUUUM)! But Unicron was not fully online. He needed the Omega Lock and the Allspark. He gave Megatron a new form in exchange for serving him in this deed. Megatron then called out in a voice that somehow literally carried across the galaxy,"UNICRON HAS RETURNED! I AM REBORN! I AM GALVATRON!!!" The autobots gathered, and held a counsel. They knew that Unicron could be stopped by one, and only one being...............PRIMUS! They knew that long ago, he'd went offline, sacrificing himself to stop Unicron and save everyone. They also knew if anyone could find and bring back Primus, it was the Techno-organic, Sari Sumdac. But first, they had to fond the Omega Lock, a device that can hold the Allspark, and use it as the very spark of Primus. The search 4 the Omega lock and Primus, like this new war, had begun..........
I dub this series, "Transformers Animated: The Rise of Unicron"
(Please tell me wat u think)
