Megatron and Starscream sitting on a tree K I S S I N G........WTF has happen to old 'screamer? hE'S GONE SOFT and CUDDLY?! Slambang finish on a somewhat flawed series. Surprises galore, well not too surprising for another "seeker" anyway. Art is back to awesomeness, could have been better and CCs cover is kick@ss!

I just read the synopsis on TFwikiw.

Wow now the caption "Goodbye originality, hello nostalgia!" makes even more sense.

A perfectly poopy ending to a perfectly poopy comic.

Crap. Complete, total, utter crap.

And as for the certain "sacrifice" scene, it certainly does not remind me of another character sorta similar situation in the concluding issue of another badly plotted series. *

Shane McCarthy, this plea: now that your screwing over of IDW's continuity is finished, please go away and never come back. We can go a long time without any more comics written by you.

* = I am, of course, being absolutely, 100% sarcastic here, and really hope that comes across.

My sentiments exactly. At least DW didn't drag for one whole frickin' year (I'd put an exclamation point there hehehe) Megatron Origin was unfocused and short while AHM was too long........................

It was blah to me too.

The only good thing about the next part of Coda is Don Fig returns to TFs...again.

He is shown as being the artist for the Prime and Ironhide story, yes. So he should have all 11 of those pages, I think.

The interview posted a few weeks back indicated that McCarthy had seen the last panel in his head when he started the comic. I suspect it was the page beforehand "What's a Cigar" rather than Hunter being unplugged ... which was ... WTF?

"Tankor" rather than "Octane" ... WTF?

To the "hold on, it will get awesome crowd" - well, it didn't.

I really hope that it was some machination headmaster, and not Hunter O'Nion that was plugged from the machines by Sideswipe, I really hate Shane allready. If he WAS Hunter, than Shane pulled a worse move than Paradron there.

Nope, that was Hunter.

Sideswipe committed an act of euthanasia which is still considered murder in many places.

I listened to McCarty's interview where he said that the story of AHM ends at 12. So the story of AHM ends with Starscream taking his ball and going home, the humans saying "thanks, but no thanks and get the hell of our planet" and the Autobots make no attempt to save Hunter.

Look, Im a G-1 fan but I dont need to be endlessly 'wanked' with nods (Im looking at you animanted). Did we really need another version of the "Never!" scene from the original movie?

You did read what Megatron told Starscream in number 11, right. It makes sense give what kind of monster the Decepticon armada is. Starscream knows how he has to do it to get the respect and position he wants.

I am about to open my crew-served bottle of Midol for you guys. Seriously. Whine, whine, whine whine. Hate, hate hate. I think the series suffered from some pacing issues, and also some iffy artists (like that guy who couldn't draw people worth a damn), and of course just way too many humans in general, but on the whole I kinda liked it. It had some absolutely brilliant moments, along with the eh, not so great moments. It's hard, I imagine, to write a good story when a) 'fans' will find some way to hate you no matter what you do, and b) Hasbro gets to go through and change whatever they want if they don't like it, which I understand happens quite a bit with the IDW stuff.

Here's what my dad told me when I was a kid and complained about a book being really crappy (legitimately, it was a TOR book, and they're ALL crappy). "You don't like it? Write a better one."

Come on, people. Seibs has plenty of room for your fanfic. And we're waiting.

Put up or shut up.

HK, hrm, may need to dip into the Midol myself, actually. :)

What a kick in the teeth this issue was, killing off a couple of characters just to make the series have some lasting impact, while at the same time, ruining one of the better plot points of the previous "-tion" stories.

Starscreams actions are so different to his actions of all of 5 minutes prior, it is ridiculous that he pulls such a 180. That a single speech could have saved all the hassle of Starscream and his scheming seems bizarre and all so convenient, just like everything else in the series (Omega Supreme, Thundercracker etc).

It was a waste of an issue that had too much to finish up and far too little time to do it due to poor pacing, and overall inept writing.

I think the problem many of us have with the series is that it is so terribly inept in comparison to what was written previously.

Had AHM been set in a separate universe as a maxi series I think it would not have been so bad, but to force it down our throats after cutting Furman loose was a bad misstep from IDW.

This act is tired and full of BS when pro athletes say "youve never the played the game" like that is the gateway for having a critical opinion.

It's weak sauce. Step your game up.

Or was it titty-whiskers? Or maybe it was both. But yeah, it's not really the ending, but just an issue four issues from the end.

Four issues that weren't really planned. It almost felt like the dude just gave up since they've got four more books to go now.

I stand by my opinion of the quality of balls it was.
