I was just going over my Comic collection and I was wondering.. Why is it some series start with Issue Zero. Why start at Zero. Can someone explain the reasoning/significance of this?

Thanks!

It generally indicates a preview / teaser / prologue issue before the main story thread starts at #1, if I were to give a generalised reason.

But then, it's entirely natural and reasonable to start counting at 0 - just ask any programmer. ;)

And to make a selling, since #o will never be reprinted collectors will buy them cos you never know haw good the comic will sell. So if you have a few #0 you'll be shure to sell them at a hig price in the future.
