Canadian network Teletoon has announced that the classic Generation 1 Transformers cartoon is one of nine classic cartoon they will be airing on the Retro network this Fall. You can view the press release for this announcement here.

Why is it that I have 500 freakin channels, but none that play anything TF (besides Cartoon Network playing TF: Animated at 6:30 on weekday mornings) damn Comcast.

The previous information was that that channel was showing a special block for the release of the movies.

I'm glad they finally got around to putting both TF and Joe on their schedule, but those air times are stupid, Id rather pick up the DVD's then turn over in the middle of HNIC.

i'm glad the channel is finally getting more and more cartoons i actually watched growing up. i have Transformers on dvd so i wont bother there but the rest is pretty cool.

Beetlejuice has played on the regular Teletoon before around Halloween but it'll be cool to see the other episodes i havent seen since it first aired. And Captain Caveman? ha... doubt it aged well but i'll definately check that one out.

i realize its a whole rights issue to get these shows but i do hope we wont always have to wait until fall for them to add new series. i remember when Retro first started, it was the same 8 or 9 shows back to back 24/7 for MONTHS. nice to see them finally have a big schedual, i await it getting bigger.

That was for a daylong marathon. This is for its permanent move onto the schedule.

One thing I cannot grasp is why Latin American Boomerang was able to air My Little Pony and not Transformers and GI Joe. It still wonders me to this day.

I was excited, until I learned that Teletoon was a Canadian TV station. Oh, well
