TVShowsOnDVD.com has updated their website with the news that the Matrix of Leadership Collector's Edition DVD set, released previously by Shout Factory online and at San Diego Comic-Con, will be released in general retail om Canada on October 13th and in the US on October 20th, the same date as the DVD release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the blockbuster sequel to the original Transformers film. The set will cost $169.95, thirty dollars more than the original online retail price.

I would've really regretted getting the Matrix of Leadership DVD set on Shout Factory if the retail was cheaper than online

october 20 is going to be a very expensive day

Glad I got this online and didn't wait for a retail release.

i already own the Rhino releases but i'm sure it'll eventually be featured on amazon for one of those "ONE DAY 50% OFF" type sales so i'll probably grab it then. lol

so to anyone who owns it already, did they do like G.I. Joe and leave an empty slot so you could put the animated movie in there? because if not, its strange how they did it for Joe.

I don't see why they would, seeing as how Shout! Factory already said they haven't any plans to release the G1 movie due to Sony releasing three years ago.

They are going to release the Joe movie, but only because it hasn't been released since its first DVD release (unlike TF which had its movie released more than once).

Nope. No open slot in the Transformers set.
