Best modern Transformers comic?

Recently, I've read the majority of the older transformers comics read by Dreamwave such as the G1 entire G1 series, and War within. I was very suprised at how awesome the comics were, the series both had really good story archs, and it had a good ammount of action, drama, and alot of interesting Transformers lore. It's a shame however that Dreamwave had to go bankrupt and the series were cancelled, but anyways, I havent picked up a TF comic in quite some time, so I was wondering what you would recommend as the best modern TF comic series. I prefer reading G1, but would be willing to read anything that has a good enough storyline to it. Thanks! :)

Im having the same problem. I really want to get into one of the IDW series, but there's quite a few different ones. Is AHM any good?

I haven't read any IDW, I stopped reading when DW went out of business. But if you haven't read Armada, it's good. Better than the cartoon. Especially the last 5 issues, "Worlds Collide" issues 14-18. Then Energon starts. :(

I know you said modern comics, but if you want really good reads, read the original G1 comics, issues 1-25, 47-51, and 55-80, and the G2 comics if you haven't already. Best ever.

No problem. As for the older comics, you might have to get the TPBs, unless you have a well-stocked comic shop near you which carries all the old issues. Whatever you do, get the Underbase Saga (47-51) and Gone But Not Forgotten (#25) they're my favorites. Also, of course, Matrix Quest (61-66) is a very good storyline. Simon furman took over at issue 55, and all the stories are good starting there, except mybe issues 67 and 68. They were out of the chronological order.

Yeah, the Armada comic was very good, IMO. Even the kids didn't seem as annoying. But Energon sucked.

I find the 2007 Movie and ROTF Movie adaptations and prequels to be quite interesting.

G2 is my favorite by far.

I would recommend getting into IDW and starting with the Trades. I haven't been reading comics in sometime and I am now starting to pick up the trades.

Also IDW's Beast Wars series are ok as well.
