The first issue of the Transformers/ Avengers Crossover will be hitting comic stores in July. However, you will not have to wait that long to get a peak at some of the art from the series. Comic News International has received an exclusive look at some of the art from the Transformers/ Avengers Crossover. Click here to check out the art.

Old pic, VERY unimpressive art. They even got Jazz's hood wrong. :\

It's suppose to be the IDW's version of Transformers. A lot of characters got redesigned by the publisher.

IDW Jazz's hood is still pointed forward, not down.

Aaand... I just noticed they drew Bumblebee old style, not the IDW revamp.

It's a lacking rendition of IDW's designs, covered up with some good colouring work. Everyone else is the same size as Prime, Bumblebee looks pregnant, and Prime is actually based on a touched-up Pat Lee pose (Josh found the art... though in fairness to the Marvel art, it's a much, much better version of the swiped pose.)

(What happened to Logan's hips, too?)

Regretting ordering this a bit... especially after seeing the Marvel solicited cover for #2...

At least Prowl looks decent in that one, though.

What the hell is the stripe on The Hulks head. If it's some mind control dealy so he could focus his strenght with Banner's mind to fight the giant robots deal, ...

That's not for the crossover. Didn't Hulk get blasted into space before Civil War and end up the ruler of (or lead gladiator on) another planet? Hence the circlet he's wearing.

I'm hoping it's the run-up to Stark getting decapitated in a suitably bloody manner. It's about the only way I'd start reading Marvel regularly again...

The picture gives me only one question.

The Avengers DO realize the Autobots are the good guys, right? Or is this some kind of twisted 'everything's-turned-on-its-head' alternate universe thingy?

I've seen that pic before. I don't like how the robots are all the same size...

What is up with Captain America's pose? How stupid would it look if people just stood around and had casual conversations frozen in mid-punch? Pretty darn stupid, let me tell you.

The usual formula of comic book crossovers is "good guys fight each other until they realise they're on the same side, then they fight the bad guys..."

It'd be nice if this one avoided the cliché, but I doubt it'll happen.

I've made my own text boxes for this.
For the large picture, Prime's thinking "How'd I get so short?"
In the inset, he ponders "And isn't that guy with the shield s'posed to be dead?"

I still wish they would've gone with the classic story and designs, rather than the IDW universe. I know there's no "one classic story" but the standard Autobot vs. Decpeticon G1 story would've worked well enough for such a crossover.

Well I don't know about you but I want to see that fight. Autobots probably win though. The artworks above average. I think they should have had that guy that did the cover do all of them except for just 2. But this will be a good crossover none the less.

It's smart on IDW's part to let Marvel do this crossover. It proves to the naysayers just how great IDW really is.

I don't think this is any different than the news that Skowl posted within the past week at http://seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=10350

They should've given this project to Mark Brooks. He does a great job on superhero characters plus he does well on Transformers.

He did a great job on the art in this year's X-Men annual (too bad the story's really...ehh...)

I don't think Marvel have made very good choices with either of these covers. I'll be sticking with IDW for the time being. They're really pouring my tea at the moment.

It'll be intersting to see who the Decepticons get paired up with. I couold definately see Red Skull since Captain America is on the Autobots side. Hmmmmm...................

It'll be Doom. And the series is set in Latvernia.
