Thank God, I've found the two seasons of BEAST MACHINES on DVD here in Italy. Only 18 euros, two sets. I'm so excited, since I've never seen this series in my life before! I know it's controversial, but who cares.

I've already purchased the G1 original cartoon (Season 3 & 4 still left unreleased on DVD in Italy) and looking forward BEAST WARS DVD sets (I can't find them).

By the way...

This is how I interpretate the G1 TV continuity:

1- G1 cartoon (4 seasons)
2- The 1986 movie
3- Beast Wars
4- Beast Machines

Is there something I'm forgetting?

I think the Beast series are great follow ups to the original cartoon. The continuity work is pretty good.

Oh, you're gonna regret asking that. :P Here's how I interpret the G1 cartoon continuity:

  • The eHobby pack-in manga of the Guardian Robot (GADEP) figure.
  • The first part of episode 1 of the first season of the G1 cartoon (the beginning to the crash on Earth).
  • Beast Wars season one, season two, and season three.
  • The Micromaster Collection manga.
  • The rest of G1 episode 1, the rest of season one, all of season two, the earlier “Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers” manga, and the eHobby pack manga of the black Megatron and sunstorm figures.
  • The Scramble City OVA (and not the Toys version) and the rest of the FSRLTF manga.
  • The Sunbow G.I. Joe cartoon (this is included due to Cobra Commander A.K.A. Snake appearing in season 3 and some other characters appearing in Binaltech and Kiss Players).
  • The Stargate Battles manga
  • Then, at this point, the timeline splits into two. The Binaltech story starts here and goes into its own timeline including Binaltech Asterisk and Alternity. In the regular flow of time, the timeline continues.
  • The RobotMasters fiction.
  • The original G1 Transformers: the Movie.
  • G1 season three and all the 2010 manga.
  • The Headmasters anime and manga (sans issues 4 and 7, which contradict the anime).
  • The Super-god Masterforce anime (excluding the manga)
  • The Victory anime (excluding the manga)
  • The Zone anime/manga and story pages
  • The earlier Return of Convoy story pages, the Battlestars manga, and the rest of the Return of Convoy story pages
  • The Operation Combination story pages.
  • Nucleon Quest Convoy's bio fiction
  • The Generation 2 mini-manga and story pages (excluding the "The Earth is in Danger" manga).
  • The eHobby fiction that accompnies Laser Ultra Magnus, Galvatron II, Hybrid Style Convoy Black Version, and Masterpiece Convoy Black Version.
  • The fiction of the Beast Wars II toy catalog, the “Theft of the Golden Disk” episode, and parts of the “Dawn of the Future’s Past” comic.
  • The Beast Wars II anime and movie (excluding the manga)
  • The Beast Wars Neo anime (excluding the manga)
  • The Beast Machines cartoon
  • The Universe 2003 fiction and the Beast Wars Reborn fiction occur here

You left out the Japanese G1 shows (Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Zone) that continue as if Season 4 (Rebirth) never happened.
