Dear Fandom,

In your opinion, between G1 Megatron and BEast Wars Megatron, who do you suppose is a better villanious leader. If we judge both leaders, I think Predacon Megatron serve more efectively as a leader, whose scheming is better than G1 megatron. THough, G1 Megatron status as ultimate leader is undeniable as he in effect a founding figure of the decepticon cause and in effect controls all of the decepticons while Predacon megatrn merely commands a rouge group of no more than a handful predacons. In terms of strength, I think both are of equal standing, and in terms of cunning Predacon Megatron is no less a schemer. So in your opinion who is a greater villinaous leader?

I personally would vote for the megatron in idw's infiltration. In g1 megatron is always portrayed as a terrifying and unstoppable leader right up until we meet him, then he always immediately slips into madness and incompetance. Inthe marvel comic (us) the only issues he at all effective in are 25 and around 60something when he returns. Both are issues right before he's killed.

But n infiltration he's cold, calculated, and terrifying. The scene where he shows ip underground and procedes to totally own skywarp and blitzwing while not even caring about the on scene autobots. And the fight with starscream is one of my favorite idw moments. I really like that we got to meet the megatron of legend first and watch as he slowly slides downward. And even then it's relevant and not total. But that would be my ultimate incarnation of megatron.

idw Megatron, other than that it's old Grape-face, yess.

Beast Machines Megatron

Beast Wars Megatron seems to be overall bettert.




Not to mention one of my favorite transformers ever,yes.


I just this topic doesnt turn in a fanboy battle though.


PS:If not Beast Era Megatron,then Animated Megatron seems preety cool too.

Actually g1 Megs also conquered Cybertron between season 2 and the Movie.

this is what saddens me most about the orignal G1 megatron portrayals, we never get to see any of that cool stuff. We just hear about then he goes back to sucking at life. That would have been an awesome way to end the second half of season 2.

Megatron (BW)is actually quite capable as a schemer and military strategist, though overly arrogant and overconfident at most times. Truly this remarkable character is worthy of his name - Megatron. Well after much thought Megatron G1 is indeed more iconic and indeed started and founded the Decepticon movement and cause in many continuities. THus in terms of strategic capabilities perhaps they are the same.

Who do you think is a more powerful and stronger warrior in the physical sense?

I tend to like Beast Wars Megatron more than the G1 incarnation.

Beast Megatron, definitely. G1 Megatron had some shining moments, especially in the comics, but in Beast Wars he was pretty damn good at leading and fighting. And, also, he was not insane. My absolute favorite Megatron? Tank Megatron from the G2 comics. Damn near indestructible, mean, and had a few good lines as well. But, then again, in G2 everyone was spruced up a bit, even Prime.

I'm going to go with G1 Megatron on this one

may have to say beast wars megatron, but G1 megatron did manage to put G1 prime off-line.

Point taken that G1 Metatron amnage to put G1 Prime offline but if I remember correctly, Beastwars megatron managed to outwit and destroy beast wars Optimus Primal in one occasion by having him trapped in a space shuttle and anniliated completely via explosion by planet buster. Thats 5 Stars scheming , ability to crush your enemies compeltely without moving a muscle or risking destruction yourself.
