I am in the midst of going through Galaxy Force (NOT Cybertron!!!) and so far, I am rather impressed with Galaxy Convoy. Until now, my other favorite series was Beast Wars, as was Optimus Primal from that series my favorite reincarnation. However, Beast Machines and "Buddha Optimus" ruined that, so I turned to my next favorite, Fire Convoy from RiD. (Never seen Car Robots, but when the Americans got CR in their hands by the looks of it they managed to not f**k up Fire Convoy so much.) However, now I get to see Galaxy Force (I repeat, NOT Cybertron!) and I must say this Convoy is my favorite of all the series.

How different is the story in the English version compared to the Japanese version? I've only ever watched Cybertron on CN.

G1 is still the best.

Nobody beats original G1 Convoy/Optimus Prime.

The entire story, character personalities, and ideas are drastically different. When brought over to America, Galaxy Force was cut up and put back together with a completely different audience in mind. I was seeing parts of episode 3 of Cybertron in as far as episode 10 of Galaxy Force, which goes to show how different they turned out. Also, there is no Unicron in Galaxy Force - it is not a continuation of any series.

So it sounds pretty similar to what is going to happen to TF: Animated in Japan.

Personally, I think Cybertron/Galaxy Optimus Prime/Convoy is the worst looking Optimus ever. Same with Cybertron Megatron. Just can't abide either design.

Prime's creepy yellow eyes annoy me. Silly I know but they do.

Yeah, he is definitely one of the best Prime/Convoy toy ever designed. Hell, I want the TCC to use that mold again for an upcoming figure. I'd prefer it to be a con (new leader?), but as long as that mold is used again, I'm all over it.

Galaxy Convoy is one of the best, but not the best.

It's my favorite Prime toy wise!

Really fun action figure.
