Looks like Hotrod was wrong about the Decepticons. Menasor looks nice :)

SP: Prowl looks good, I hope it will be a similar dark story like Rhytms of Darkness.

Prime has two rifles, oh nos! This must be serious. And can we now say it, they have gone too far in destroying our G1? I kid. But it is nice to see the designs 'SEEM' to be coming around to a little bit more normal faced (Menasor looks pretty normal in the face area).

Nice to see a new combiner in the bunch--somebody other than Devastator and Monstructor. Be really nice to see something totally out there like Lio Kaiser, Road Caesar, Guard City, or Raiden.

Just saying.

 EJ!!!! WOOT!!!! :APPLAUSE:

Menasor looks good! And yes, it does look like some of the over-designed faces are smoothing out a bit (as I figured they would do - just had to give them some time to assess the fan reaction and catch up with the pages that had already been drawn). Or I could be wrong and they may just be unable to be seen due to the size of the image. Either way I don't mind because I like the new art direction.

I can't wait til Bruticus shows up! We've seen Onslaught and Swindle (who it looks like has nipple piercings LOL). I wonder when the Autobot gestalts will be making an appearance?

It also looks like they're trying to tie in all the other series (BB, Spotlights etc) back into the main ongoing like they did with the -ation stuff which I am stupidly happy about. Maybe we'll get back that all-encompassing feeling that was kinda lost during AHM...

Simple miscolouring, perhaps? Or maybe intentional? Who knows what experiments the government's being doing on the TFs...

I knew the decepticons were up to something, silly Hot Rod, he should have known well enough that the 'Cons cannot be trusted!

Return of Spotlight! WooooOOoooooT!

If you scale down Menasor's horns a bit, his head looks similar to Hot Rod's...and now I've conjured up images of the Titanium Menasor repaint of Rodimus Prime; I just gave myself a headache.

And when exactly did that happen. Devastator doesn't exist in the IDW verse.

So we're gonna get an explanation why he acted so OOC in the ongoing?

You're kidding right? Devastator has been featured prominently in the IDW universe. All Hail Megatron, for example?

Lots of fans of that 'prick', and he has also featured heavily in the IDW-verse. By featured heavily, I mean he's been a background character since the beginning who has not died...:)

Hey, Real Talk time.

Prowl's Coda issue was amazing, perhaps the best story IDW has done. They gave the character life in that issue and make him a 3 dimensional being with motives, flaws, and a plan instead of his typical boring played-out regular "rule enforcer" role.

The 'prick' also did a highly out of character act in the first issue of the ongoing, when compared to his previous IDW portrayal (and his general characterization, to be honest), and the explanation for that is the ONLY reason we're getting this.
