The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. The Elder Gods are supposed to be inter-dimensional beings, and lord knows we've seen dimensional travel in Transformers before, it actually holds up quite nicely.

If we're lucky IDW might might run with this. How's a "The Benzuli Expanse is an Elder God incursion" story sound? I know it won't happen, but just imagine! =P~

Is "Shape On!" a reference to "Head On!", "Target On!", "God On!", etc., in that it's the activation code for a Pretender to scan and assume its organic shell form for the first time?

Yes, the basic idea was to follow the japanes "on" stuff.

In truth, Simon Furman had already started to handle the Dead Universe subplot with Lovecraft-esque style: many details in "Spotlight: Nighbeat" or "Spotlight: Galvatron" pointed in that direction.

Now that everything has been simplified, I doubt that literary references like these have many chances to pop up.

However, the dark atmosphere and style of "Spotlight: Nighbeat" gave us an idea for another horrific Mosaic focused on a certain planet...
