I agree with Supreme Convoy, this set is beyond cool. The special features are really nice and the episodes hold up pretty well, especially considering how much time has passed.

Now I have a good reason to use my gift card. WOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I knew I should have waited. I paid Shout! factory prices. Oh well. I sold my Rhino versions for about what I paid so I'm okay with it.

Even at half price, it's still too expensive for me. I hope this price stays this way through till June (a b-day present is my only hope).

Wal-Mart has had this on sale for several weeks, too. I ordered mine from them when the price dropped to $110, then when it dropped again, I ordered it again and returned the one I bought at $110. I bought from them rather than Amazon because I had gift cards from previous Transformers purchases and a friend, so in all I paid about $60 after deducting those.

The Shout! Factory set actually has much better special features and less errors, especially on the earlier seasons.

I got my set a few months ago at Best Buy (in-store) and forget exactly how much I paid for it. I think it was around $130 before tax. I have no regrets getting about missing the sale, if anything I wish I would have gotten it last summer when it first came out.

They went for about $70 a set. I should know... I bought the last two I needed. Then a month later, they announced the Shout sets!

Still, I kept them since I'm a collector.

I bought some of them as they dvd's were being release at about $50 I think but fell behind towards the end. Then I discovered Ebay and bought the rest about $80 each set. Don't regret buying those. But after buying volumes of anime only to see a BOX SET released in a smaller and less expensive set, I now just wait for sets to be sold instead.

I think once I get this set, I'll sell the Rhino set.

I've been trying to buy these for a few months now. I don't think I would pay that much for a box set. If it were around 50 I probably would. With money being really tight I think I can wait a bit longer.

the rhino sets were almost 100$ each when they first came out here in canada. i think it was partly because they were hard to find so HMV racked up the prices since they were the only ones in my city to sell them and it wasn't even every store either. luckily by the time the 3rd volume came they were a more reasonable price.

of course i went and sold em all for 70$ so i lost a little...although i kept the animation cels and they fit perfectly in the Shout box. lol

this is old news i bought my set from them almost a month ago at the same price with free shipping
it took this long for someone to post this, perhaps i should have said something back then, oh well

i almost forgot to mention the GI Joe set is also on sale for 93.99 from 179.99.

Nice price for the GI-Joe boxset.Hate to know what postage would cost to get it to Australia. But I don't have a Amazon account unfortunately.
