Which writers/artists do you want to see working on Transformers?

This question has often plagued my mind.

I've always thought Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness would be awesome on a book, Loebs sense of pacing and characterization would give any character a wonderful sense of depth and McG's artistic style goes well with Franchise in general.

So what about you guys?

I'd like to see a cartoon penned by Paul Dini or Simon Furman.

Man I loved their artwork and their storylines the did for G1, too bad they went bankrupt! Their artwork was the best I've ever seen

Don Figureoa, James Raiz and Guido Guidi are all still drawing TFs.

Pat Lee... isn't even drawing the work he's submitting to other companies with his name on it.

I want more Nick Roche, hope for some Geoff Senior, and Derek Yaniger would also be a welcome return.

On the writing side, bring back James Hill. And again, more Nick Roche.

I'd like to have Don Figueroa and Guido Guidi keep doing what they're doing. They are excellent. But the one artist that I'd like to see doing TF has got to be Jim Lee.

Right with you on these. Derek Yaniger is probably one of the lesse known of the group but I loved his work on the G2 series.

James Raiz deserves more exposure for his work.

The Dreamwave Writers. They knew each character intimately and their work on the MTMTE series is the stuff of legend.

Bob Forward

Tim Seeley, really enjoy his 4 GI-Joe/Transformers series.

Whoever wrote the 3 part pilot to the G1 toon

Joe Madeuira (not sure if I spelt his name correctly but he used to draw the X-Men comics and I loved his Phalanx)

The guys who animated the cutscenes from the Armada PS2 game to do a CGI G1 series ala Beast Wars written by Bob Forward. Just thought I'd throw that in there. I can dream can't I?

What would I really like to see?

A unified continuity rooted in G1 but with TF's from other continuities featured heavily but born of the G1 verse not some Universe unifying realities type story. Though that said, I do love Universe.

More Wildman and Senior in their own style, I'm bored of the neo-conformist style in every comic I read.
For curiosities sake I'd like to see Jim McD finish up the story he was trying to tell with DW.

I'd love to see Bruce Timm, the man who was partially responsible for the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited series, work on Transformers.

Sean McKeever, who wrote the excellent mini-series Sentinel for Marvel, would probably do a real interesting Transformers story.

I'd love to see JMS(not even going to attempt butchering his last name) tell a TF story.

Seth Green's done more serious storytelling, and if his work on Robot Chicken is indicative of his love of them, I think it would be neat to see him do a mini-series.

I loved the Ron Marz/Ron Lim run on Silver Surfer, and I think they could do some interesting stuff with Transformers if given the chance.

The guys from Udon did some of the movie storybooks, but I'd love to see them do a full comic. Heck, a McKeever/Udon reunion for a mini-series would be really cool.

Skottie Young could probably do some really unique looking Transformers.

And, though he's not technically a comic book artist, I'd LOVE to see Crash McCreery, the guy behind the character designs for Pirates of the Caribbean, take a shot at them. Even if you're not a fan of the movies, it's hard to deny his artwork is amazing.

Above all else, though... BRAD BIRD. Bird's a master storyteller, has a lot of unique ideas, and he's gifted at making memorable characters. I'm not sure he'd ever do a comic and, if he did, I'm not sure he'd choose Transformers, but a Bird-penned Transformers ANYTHING would be a must get for me.

Is this a joke? Those hacks couldn't write a decent plot if their lives depended on it. Best to leave Brad Mick and Chris wots-his-face in the dark, dark well from whence they came. And stick Pat Lee in there as well.

Dreamwave TF = Poor

On-topic, I'd like the 1980s Marvel UK Furman to travel to the future and write another truly great story.

How about John Grant? :D (For those familiar with the UK Ladybird books)
