The 1986 movie "underperformed terribly"? That was one of the comments on this song. I recall when it came out in theaters there was a commercial to be able to win something, but I only saw the ad..like..TWICE.

Did the movie really tank that bad?

yes it did, but that was due to many reviewers deeming it to dark, gritty and mature for children resulting in many children not even getting to see it due to their parents. And it wasn't that well advertised from what I heard.

Which is funny, considering that if you were to release it these days, it'd hardly register in that way.

Yup, although to give them credit, first time I saw it it made me cry and feel bad. :lol:

The fact that it was stolen isn't right, but I can't argue that the 8-bit rendition is downright awsome!
