Didn't see this mentioned in the Cullen/TFPrime thread, but in the same article that confirmed Cullen's return it mentions The Hub will air a late night block aimed at young adults filled with older shows. One of these shows just happens to be G1. Here's the details:

"(The Hub) is also planning a late-night block of old "G.I. Joe" and "Transformers" episodes to attract parents and young adult males nostalgic for the '80s-era cartoons."

It's nice to see G1 getting rerun time in America for a change.

The Hub to air Classic Transformers G1 Episodes, and Peter Cullen returns as Optimus Prime!

While it has been rumoured and wished for since its announcement; The Hub - a children's network co-founded by Hasbro and Discovery - will feature a block of vintage Hasbro Shows, including Transformers Generation 1 and GI Joe! Member Chaotix12345 points us to an article on Advertising Age that goes into great depth on the challenges and opportunities that The Hub will be facing. At the very bottom is the very interesting block
Vintage flashbacks
The Hub will exclusively re-air old episodes of the Jim Henson Company's "Fraggle Rock," and is also planning a late-night block of old "G.I. Joe" and "Transformers" episodes to attract parents and young adult males nostalgic for the '80s-era cartoons...

This certainly lends credit to seeing the legendary Peter Cullan re-don the mantle of Prime in this new show.

Depends on which cable/satellite provider you have.

The Hub is replacing Discovery Kids. I put in Wilmington, NC at TVGUIDE.com and this is what came up:

If you have Charter, it's channel 94. DIRECTV says channel 294. DISH NETWORK is 179.

Chances are, if you want to get The Hub, you are probably going to have to upgrade your package to a premium or upper tier programming package. If you already get Discovery Kids, you don't have to worry then.

MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!!!! Literally. I commented on a G1 video on YouTube saying that Hasbro should play the G1 toons on the Hub. What more could a fan ask for?

If i wanted to sell toys and i made cartoons to help sell those toys, i would go for the largest demographic i possibly could. That being said, not everyone pays for the upper tier packages. Once again, gg Hasbro. On the bright side, i'm just gonna download the entire series when it gets done anyhow. lol

Hopefully this will get some of those angry G1ers off Hasbro's ass. It would be good for people like me too, people who where born far after G1 and want to relive some of the childhoods of the people who grew up with G1. Hooray for...things. :???:

And I hope they make a fkn Animated Season 4, now that they're re airing G1, this just proves that you can continue a show, thats been gone for a while.
