The second Japanese Transformers Animated opening has been uploaded to YouTube by Safusiiwa1946. The opening features Transformers Evo as the theme still, but uses different parts of the song. Additionally, the opening sequence features some new animation, although it's mostly old. To view the video click here, or scroll down:

And while the show if great, I only wish it were as awesome as this opening.

Am I the only one who wishes this had been the first opening? Revealing Soundblaster, Swindle, and Blackout(s?) would've been far less spoileriffic than all the Starscream clones for the beginning of the series. Which episode features the switch to this intro anyway?

Regardless of 'spoiler' or not spoiler, it's cooler seeing Soundwave, Swindle and Blackout instead of the clones anyways. I would be surprised if Takara actually sells Electrostatic Soundwave as 'Soundblaster' he's the right colors for it.

Who's the second Blackout though? Grindor? .... I wouldn't put that past them as a reason to recolor the mold, really.

I would have loved ot see this as the opening.

I liked the old clip better of the clones. Yeah it was a spoiler but you would just assume it's seekers or jets rather then clones unless you have seen the series. Plus it was just cooler. Rather then seeing Megs in vehicle form, you get the flashing Decepticon symbol and seekers flying around it while you see decepticons flashing through.

IMO, what made that clip kick so much butt was the symbol. If they had kept that and showed the new bots jumping at the screen and end with Megs I would have liked it more.

Still cool though.

We had transformers animated spread over 3 TV seasons for a total of 52 episodes.
But in Japan isn't 52 episodes just 1 TV season? Which means if it is a runaway success over there, then they may gone on to do more episodes them selves. Resulting in an additional 52 episodes for their season 2.

Since I enjoyed the animated Beastwars 2 cartoon & Beastwars Neo cartoon, they did as a follow up to our CG Beastwar. An with how awesome that animated intro was. i kind of look forward to it. Even if what I will get to watch, will wind up being fan subbed at 1st.

Also if they continue the series with a season 2, that means takara would most likely do brand new molds in the animated Style as they introduce new characters in the show.
For example animated Rumble & Frenzy that transform into concert speakers to plug Lazerbeak & Ratbat into so Soundblast/Soundwave can get a greater range/effect with his notes.

Just a thought (and a hope), only time will tell if it really happens.
