Favourite Budiansky moments

I grew up on the Marvel UK stuff and loved Furman's stuff. That said, Mr. Budiansky had some great stuff too, though I felt he focused on the humans a bit too much. I also felt he was let down by the art, colour moreso than the pencils.
I'd love to see his stories redone with modern artists like Alex Milne or EJ Su.
But I digress, what were your favourite Budiansky moments?
I loved the Mecannibals story, mainly for the characterisation and chemistry between Cloudburst and Landmine.
Also loved the Megatron/Predaking clash which really showed how badass Megatron was.
While it dragged in places, I liked the Skullgrin in Hollywood story, mainly because it showed Skullgrin to not be stereotypically evil, willing to befriend humans.
Also enjoyed the Roadhandler arc and the Blaster/Grimlock feud.
What about you guys?

Budiansky's early work was pretty kickass.
My fav are the following:
1. The smeltingpool, it was actually pretty hardcore to see Transformers exterminated by throwing them into the smelting pool.
2. Prowl's shot at leadership when Shockwave had taken Prime's head. This is the first and last time Prowl was freaking badass.
3. Megatron's fight with Predaking kicked ass.
4. Megatron vs Shockwave, this was probably Budiansky's first story.

I agree with Stormwolf regarding the Smelting Pool -- that was a cool mini-story arc which introduced a whole new thread in the Marvel Transformers plot.
In terms of the Mecannibals, while I think this was an interesting story, I feel that any re-imaging of this arc should be less-juvenile and in some regards more sinister.

I can't believe I forgot Prowl's stint as leader. I loved Budiansky's take on him. Shame Furman went on to turn him into a whiner. I liked Dreamwave's Prowl because I felt it was close to Budiansky's version.
I wasn't a fan of the Mecannibals themselves but I just loved Cloudburst and Landmine's characterisations. How often did we see TF's who weren't core cartoon characters get that kind of attention?
I also liked the Z-Foundation storyline. I liked how Marvel Nebulans could pass as human. Plus I always liked Backstreet, Override and the Firecons.
Actually, the Underbase story was cool too. Was great seeing so many TF's in one story and I always like when the Cons and Bots are forced to work together.

That also stands out in my memory as one of the greatest Megatron moments. I like to think of the IDW moment where Megatron takes on Devastator as a nod to that classic Budiansky Megs/PK arc.

i was never a fan of budianskys work but even i have to say the smelting pools story was one classic bit of TF lore and cemented straxus as a decepticon badass.
i liked his trypticon story too (king of the hill)
that was a brilliant way to introduce and establish him as a major threat. the only reason he didnt win was he used up to much fuel

such a pity that he lost interest in his later work as at his best he had some really neat ideas.

I liked #6 how Shockwave beat the crap out of Megatron and the Autobots were hung up-side down.
Ratchet and The Dinobots vs. Megatron.
The Smelting Pool arc.
Blaster vs. Grimlock for leadership of the Autobots.
Cloudburst and Landmine's arc.
The Headmasters and Tragetmaster's debut.
The debut of Powermaster Optimus Prime.
The Underbase Saga.

All of those, except the Mecannibals stuff.
Also, Shockwave's actual first appearance, not just the flashbacks. Awesome entrance.
As well as US #25, Megatron vs. the Predacons. One of Megatron's few shining moments under Bob.
