Take a closer look at Cliffjumper, Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Arcee, all via Hubworld....

TRANSFORMERS PRIME chronicles the triumphant return of the Autobots via the most cutting-edge CG animation ever seen on television. The series deepens the epic mythology of the Autobots and Decepticons, while starting fresh for a new generation of fans. As Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet, and the others "roll out" against Megatron, expect heavy metal action, nail-biting suspense, and more human drama than ever. New from Executive Producers Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Transformers feature films, Fringe), and Jeff Kline (Jackie Chan Adventures, Men in Black: The Series).

You had me up until "Human Drama"

Who cares about the humans? There's GIANT F-ING ROBOTS!

I like Ratchets face here. Arcee looks weird, and I'm not too sure about Primes face. It looks dark in the pic. To me it looks like he has a bulbous nose and a big grin.

Oh please, pleeeeeease let the humans' "drama" be every annoying child the Autobots were saddled with for 25 years getting squished with graphic sound effects just below the camera shot by the end of the 6th or 7th episode, leaving the actual stars free to live out a Furman-esque space-epic devoid of the plague-like organic contamination of their last American CG venture. (Sari being exempted from squishing for not being a human child)

That's not TOO much to ask, is it?

You beat me to it, but what the hey, NNNOOOO-wait, Fringe, Star Trek, and MiB were/are all good shows, and it's been handled state side, that's more than enough reasons for me to watch, and expect good human characters... Also Bay isn't directing this.

Hmm character wise I think CliffJumper took some growth hormone or something, but there's nothing wrong with that, the only complaint that I have is that he looks too much like Ironhide in the body.

Ratchet definitely not his cranky old self from either G1 or animated, but I think the voice of DS9's Weyoun will bring it to life sure enough, but I want to say he looks too much like Don Draper.

Arcee lack of Pink is throwing me off, but it still screams Fembot.

And Optimus is clearly movie Optimus, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Ok....This was cool Until "Human Drama"

A show about Humans + Human drama = Good Show

A show about Giant effing Robots + Human Drama = Fail

Then again, It may be cool.....What am I saying NOOOOOO

And Arcee......Blue......Ya

I guess Sari wasn't too bad for a "human" character... Let's hope it's the same with this series, although it's not reassuring when that's one of the things the mention. :BANG_HEAD:
Whoa... I haven't logged in in over a year... strange.

I knew it was a bad sign when I saw art for 3 human characters. I just hope it's not as lame as their making it sound with all that "human" drama. At least Cliffjumper looks boss. I would buy a toy of him in a heartbeat :x

Great. Another bunch of dumbasses who think robots can't have a personality so they have to focus on the humans.

Most likely each episode will have to do with some retarded Highshool "drama" that usually has a simple solution, but the character said episode revolves around "just doesn't want to do it" then towards the end we get to see robots blow stuff up for a minute, which places the main character of the episode in a "life and death" situation where they are then forced to resolve their "drama" such as concurring their fears, stop being mad at someone and just take their hand, live with your mistakes, don't be afraid to open up to people, your too small to fight a big war, etc. Aterwhich, one of the Autobots will serve their only purpose of spouting out some life lesson, they all have a laugh, and the credits role.

In short, it's gonna suck.

Another thing that's still bothering me.

Optimus looks so friggin out of place here. Each of the characters in the foreground have so much personality in their designs, where as prime just looks "Herp. Do you remember me from the movie? Derp."

I'm guessing BB is going to do nothing but make cute noises and smash stuff too.

Soo.... Ratchet is orange & Arcee is blue? There's supposedly no toyline for this, right?

Am I the only one who thinks Arcee looks like Homestar Runner's sister?

Anyways, the character designs look better up close for the most part. OP looks like Bayverse OP, which I don't mind. I like how CJ retains the hornhead look despite being a major character design overhaul from the more traditional depiction of the character. Ratchet looks kind of like a goatface...not a bad thing, just an observation.

As for human drama, I'll reserve judgment until I watch the show. First of all, this is just a basic description for the show, which often is a bit off with respect to what the TV show is really like. The human drama element isn't a bad thing in itself. It just depends on how it's executed. Face it, the story takes place on Earth at some point so it'll have to involve the human element in the storylines.

Wow, you just summed up exactly how I feel this show will be. Ty sir for putting it so well. Shame I had such good hopes for it too. I will still give it a shot, I have been surprised before...

And then, the Transformers Franchise was once again RUINED FOREVER.

There's about as much point whinging right now as there is wearing wellies to go sky diving. Wait until we know more before you blow your tops.
But then I guess we're about at the same point now as we were with Animated when a good chunk of the fandom started proclaiming the end of the franchise as we know it. Whatever gets you off I guess.
