Does anyone know what issues are in it? I hate that they never tell you in the solicits.

This is pretty much a guess, but considering what the solicit says, I'd wager...

* Marvel #27
* Marvel #76
* At least one issue of War Within (probably #5).
* At least one issue of Maximum Dinobots.
* Spotlights Shockwave and Grimlock.
* Beast Wars: The Gathering #4.

I'm hoping Marvel #8 (his first appearence) would be in there. I could see the main story from G2 #4 showing up, too.

Marvel #8 will proabably be there. G2 #4? Not so much.

They should have Marvel issues #76-80 in there. He was the main Autobot in all of them, except the end of #80, when Prime came back. And there should be some G2 stuff in there too.

I feel like that's pretty unlikely.

Is it just me or have publishers such as IDW kept the G2 story arc "out of sight and out of mind" and have only focused on resurrecting the G1 Marvel-US and Marvel-UK stories? Am I alone in my conviction that I thought the 12-issue G2 run was a great story that helped to expand the TF universe and, as a result, should not be ignored?

I'd say G2 #4 is a definate. He tried to lead some Autobots against Jhiaxus & got Red Alert killed. Even though he felt he failed completely Optimus still entrusted him to fill in as leader during a leave of absence.

I'd also say G1 #41 also, showing his fight with Blaster that came to a draw & they ran roughshod over Ratbat's Decepticons.

Yeah, it IS IDW. But there can't be a "Best of Grimlock" without that stuff, because those issues have the best Grimlock in them.

Maybe it's not being ignored. Maybe they're waiting until they can reprint it in an Omnibus format or something.

That would be good, especially if they include simon Furman follow-up story "Alignments" in there as well. I never got to read it, and it supposedly finishes up the G2 storyline concerning the Liege Maximo.

"Alignment" is considered non-canon by Hasbro, so no chance of that. I think that it's available to download for free somewhere.

If you Google "Transformers: Alignment" you are given a link a page on this very site where you can download the novella.

Figures. I guess I'll check it out if it's on this site...
