The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

If I knew more about the back story and who this character is, I might like it. Unfortunately, my ignorance on the matter does not allow me to. Can anyone fill me in the details here?

Crosscut is from the G1 comics. He had a brief appearance as a test subject sent by Straxus to cross through the 1st attempt at a space bridge (which failed).

I didn't remember this either so had to look it up. The main point is that he is doomed upon entering the bridge.

In the US comics, he is the first Con to try out the space bridge.

It doesn't work out so well for him.

Okay, here's a different link (though it's on the Wiki page)

http://s90690880.onlinehome.us/jhiaxus/ ... osscut.htm

I wonder if Crosscut's wordsmithery in this mosaic is a just one long joke about his "quote" in his actual appearance. Could Jhiaxus have been the writer?

2 more things:

Just before this issue, in Marvel #17, as they rescue Blaster from the smelting pool, the new minibots are seen killing a couple 'Cons that look exactly like Crossucut, but without the space bridge's energy field they're purple. No reason Crosscut couldn't actually have a lot of yellow on him, but references to this guy always seem to forget that his was apparently a standard body type during Lord High Governor Straxus's regime.

Also, that silver Skids reissue was called Crosscut, possibly due to his arms having the same gunbarrel configuration. Well, except that the Skids toy has hands.

Interesting, I always hated(since I found out about it) how Straxus just basically keeps sending people to die.
Gives an interesting tank on the cannon fodder characters.

I just noticed that right next to Cross Cut is Scronge if you don't believe me just look for a wheel in the top panel. Then again I could be off my rocker, also making an apperence at the end is Spanner in round about way. All three of these guys suffered the wrath of Straxus.
