Good news everyone! Transformer guru Simon Furman posted a new blog entry! In he reveals some juicy details about the new Battle in Space comic for the 2-pack of the same name. In it he lets us know When it takes place and in what continuity it's in. Also he tells us some of the characters that star in it. Including Rodimus(duh), Cyclonus (again duh), Kup, Galvatron, and more.

I already have both Henkei Cyclonus and Hot Rod but am very tempted to buy this set for the movie accurate Cyclonus and the comic. :x

This looks really cool, I love the idea that the comic is like an extra scene from the original animated movie!
AND it looks like it's going to be quite important if it's giving us info about future toy releases.

I'm going to stick my neck out right now and say that I definitely think Hasbro will release Hot Rod Masterpiece and Unicron for fans in the States next year.

We know Classics/Generations/Shield Kup is coming lets just hope he's more Jazz, Wreck-Gar and Tracks than 'Blurr'.

I'm just waiting to hear an announcement that Galvatron will be the next Masterpiece.....If it happens it will be a long way away but there is no Transformers figure I want released more :CON:

Is there any word that the comic will be released in comic stores w/o the figures? I already have Rodimus & Cyclonus. I don't need repaints.

Kinda stoked about this tbh. Watched the animated movie countless times as a kid and would be awesome to see something added to it, if it's done correctly.

Shane McCarthy should have written it, a superb story where Optimus kicks Galvatrons and Unicrons butt and saves the day!
Wait, Optimus was dead by that time, wasn't he? Never mind, that was only a minor part of the movie! Who remembers that anymore?

Or how about a Mike Costa-written story, where it is revealed that the real heroes were Bumblebee and Spike, when after they escaped from the melting pot (which one of them shot down, not Daniel, of course), used a misterious artifact called "Allspark" and fused it with Unicrons brain, causing the giant to overload and blow up! Well?

:P
