Yup. Dreadwing's a dead man.

This season finale is going to be better than the last >:oP

Holy crap! :BOOM: Dreadwing's death was so out of left field! Was really hoping he'd defect, but guess not. Megatron just showed us why he IS the boss. SCARY! All sorts of awesomeness this episode so far. Bored kids is funny, and the Sea of Rust looks very cool, bots rocking the Relics...I'm really loving this season wrapup.

"ONLY ON MEGATRON'S HUB!" (nice ad too)

Episode 51 - Regeneration

It just got real

Dreadwing gave the 'bots the Forge. Not surprised

DREADWING! NOOOO!
.....

Wait...he's dead. So, he's not joining the Autobots. YEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!

Using the Forge to their disposal, as well as all of the relics.

Jack's right. They've been keeping the humans out of the equation a lot lately.

Epic Cybertron Battle! I knew they'd use all of their relics in the final battle. :P

THE SPARK EXTRACTOR! NUUUUUU!

I told you that thing on the Season 2 DVD art was just a Decepticon computer, Sabrblade

When Starscream spoke of an alternative to reinforcements, I was thinking Shockwave or the Predacons...but capturing the humans. Just great. :D

One more episode. Bring on Season 3, turkeys!!!

Wow. I cannot even describe how epic how awesome the finale is going to be. Although I'm not gonna argue on the physics and canon breaking they did with Smokescreen's phase-shifter.

It took me a second to realize "I'm not gonna" was in there. It was about to get ugly, but crisis averted. And to be fair, it's not technically breaking the previous-established rules, I just think Smokescreen is learning to use it better, so he can phase through floors as needed. Once again, it basically gives the user all the powers of Shadowcat from X-Men.

So, it looks like the new season will start with the Decepticon cast that started out the series, aside from Knock Out, at least until they're joined by Shockwave and Predaking.

Not just Predaking, but any other Predacons the series decides to introduce.

Episode 51 -

Whoa! Hello, Miko! Where on Earth have you BEEN all this time?! (I only ask so as to clear up any continuity issues)

And Jack! What about you? Have you been grounded all this time or something?

And Raf's back. Guess his moving is done since he's the only one with a real excuse for not being around.

Oh yeah! Dreadwing wants to talk with the Bots. :D

As many had predicted, Dreadwing willingly hands the Forge over to the Autobots.

Though he has turned on his fellow Decepticons, Dreadwing still does not wish to become an Autobot.

The Omega Lock is "that which the keys were designed to activate." Optimus was told about it and its location on Cybertron by Alpha Takei during his Star Saber message. He kept this info to himself until now because A3 wished him to.

Screamer's finally got his T-cog back. Knock Out is "just that good."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! DREADWING'S BEEN SHOT THROUGH THE CENTER!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Omega Key Power! :P

Starscream confirmed it. Dreading is DEAD! :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x

Optimus has used the Forge to reconstruct the GroundBridge into a space bridge.

Oh snap yeah! They're taking the relics with them. Bulkhead gets the Immobilizer, Bumblebee the Polarity Gauntlet, Arcee the Apex Armor, and Smokescreen the Spark Extractor. 8-)

Megatron: "Starscream... assume command in my absence." -- Um.... no comment.

Prime fixed the Star saber with the Forge.

Optimus Prime: "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost." -- UGH!!! I will at least give him his delivery for it not being an exact copy of how G1 Optimus said it, but still, STOP RIPPING OFF LINES WORD-FOR-WORD FROM THE G1 MOVIE!

The Omega Lock is located "deep within the Sea of Rust."

They never told the kids about their going back now, and so no one showed up to pick them up from school. Too bad for them. :P

Jack's noticed that the Bots have been keeping the kids in the dark all lot, lately.

Say, if both sides have the coordinates of the Omega Lock, why didn't they both just bridge directly to that location instead of just near to it?

Go Smokescreen! He's still got the Phase Shifter and is using it well.

Polarity Gauntlet Bumblebee! I can't believe I'm saying this, but TOY PLEASE, Hasbro! ;)

Immobilize and pulverize, Bulkhead!

"CHOUJIN GATTAI! GOD ARCEE!"

Relic battle!!! This is a fight I am genuinely engaged in!

Dark Star Saber!

Real Star Saber!

Sword fight!

SCORE! Bulkhead immobilized the Jet Vehicons holding the Omega Keys, and Bumblebee took the keys with the Polarity Gauntlet, given one to each of his teammates, along with himself.

Optimus anime attacked Megatron with the Star Saber.

Arcee must has taken off the armor off screen.

Autobots, transform and roll for the Omega Lock!

Oh snap! Smokescreen's using the Spark Extractor on all the remaining Vehicons in the area. But Megatron throws his sword at it to shut it off before his own spark is taken.

Megatron orders reinforcements from Starscream, but Starscream's been talking to Soundwave and has a better idea.

The Omega Lock looks nothing like its TF: Cybertron counterpart.

Optimus: "According to Alpha Trion, the Omega Lock is a conduit to the very AllSpark itself."-- ...Except for the fact that, unless it was brought back during the eons-long time gap, the AllSpark was launched from Cybertron long ago by YOU, Optimus. It should not be still on Cybertron if you never recovered it.

The keys and lock are reacting to each other, causing four large towers and other structures to rise from the ground, forming a massive ring-shaped construct overhead (which greatly resembles a space bridge portal).

Heeeeeeeeeere's Meggy.

OH SNAP! HE'S TAKEN THE KIDS HOSTAGE!

Give Megs the Keys in exchange for the kids, or he has Starscream, Soundwave, and Knock Out open the containers holding them, thus exposing them to Cybertron's toxic atmosphere, from which they shall all perish.

And... it ends.

Huh, Andy Pessoa still voices Raf. But they said at last year's NYCC panel that he'd be recast due to Andy Pessoa hitting puberty. :?

Good grief! THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!! MIND = BLOWN! Forget the Unicron ending from season 1, THIS is how you do a season finale! Though, it's still far form perfect as they killed off Dreadwing (BOOOOOO!!!) and still never explained Miko's prolonged absence when she vowed to be by Bulkhead's side even more than ever a way's back. Still, daggonit, I can't wait for next week's episode! This season finale is gonna ROCK!

Next week... "Darkest Hour" (no preview, but yeah).

I can't believe they actually killed off dreading, dang.
Megatrons trust in stars cream seems a little misplaced, I guess he has a soft side for him.
The scene where they're rolling out for cybertron is utterly epic, as is the entire cybertron fight. But dang, this holding the kids hostage thing is pretty lame. I did like primes "what if we refuse", that was pretty epic. Still, you know they're not gonna kill the kids, so that's kind of a predictable thing.

For a split second I thought cybertron was gonna transform into Primus, what are those towers supposed to represent/do?

Lame? That was brilliant, underhanded, and just evil! Optimus holds the sanctity of all innocent life to high regard, and Megatron is gonna use that against him. Right at the most opportune moment, even! That is devious and cunning on the Cons' part, and fits with the Autobots being put in a crisis next episode that they'll have to get out of in season 3. ;)

Damn what an awesome episode! Holy crap ... I can't wait to see how this plays out. There were so many parts of this that rocked! I love the team gathering the relics then "rolling out" to Cybertron. Such a feel of finality and last hope/dread in this episode. Wow, well done writers!

Oh, & Sabr, I've got a theory on your issue with the Omega Lock & being a gateway to the Allspark ... Maybe since the Allspark was launched off planet, this is what will either return the Allspark to the core of Cybertron by bridging it back, or at the very least it creates a bridge for the Allspark's power to be beamed directly back to the planets core.

:wow:
Oh my, oh my.
So very much in this episode to talk about. Where do I even start?
It seems redundant to say the combat scenes rocked after so long and so many great fight scenes over the two seasons. As a martial artist myself I have to say the servo-to-servo fighting style was both realistic and entertaining.
Oh Ratchet, sending the kids home instead of bringing them back to base. That decision is going to haunt him for a long time to come.
Optimus has been keeping bits from the message from Alpha Trion from his troops and they notice he is acting odd.
SPOILERS
So given; Optimus has been keeping secrets, the Omega Key is a key, and the Omega Lock is a conduit, the key opens the lock and only responded when brought into contact with Optimus, and the conduit conducts something to (or perhaps from) the Allspark (wherever in space it is in this cannon) then my question is this.
What exactly is the Omega Lock supposed to conduct? Perhaps untainted Allspark energy to revive the corrupted core of Cybertron? But where would such a thing come from? Oh, that’s right; the Matrix.
Is it time for Optimus Prime to fulfill his “Contractual Obligation” for this series?

Gotta agree with Saberblade here. This definitely took the tension and ratcheted it up to eleven.

So now the humans are back as suddenly as they were gone before. I'm guessing it was a forced vacation for the voice actors to save money. Whatever. I was really hoping this season would end without them. Especially in glass bubbles on Cybertron.

Voice acting doesn't really work that way. It's not like it takes them months to get all the voice work done. And the studio can actually have a voice actor take a "forced vacation" since they don't own the voice actors, they're voice actors, they can take multiple jobs. Especially Kevin Michael Richardson, dear lord, is there anything he isn't in?

WOW, now that was an episode. This is shaping up to be way better than the season 1 finale.

Dreadwing is dead, no great loss to me. He was so underused as to not get attached. I'd have been more upset if Knock out had bought the farm. He has been excellent in these last few episodes

Great episode, but I'm really bummed out about Dreadwing buying the Cybertronian farm. He was a great character and his toy is awesome. It was barely on shelves a month before he took a plasma cannon to the chest.

Megatron siding with Starscream over Dreadwing makes little sense in the TP universe. Dreadwing is a loyal warrior. Starscream is a known schemer. Head scratching move by Megs.

Uhm, Dreadwing disobeyed Megatron's orders to stand down. And by him giving the Autobots the Forge, Dreadwing is no longer loyal to the Decepticons anyways. After he took care of Starscream he probably would have gone off-ship.

And it's reasonable to assume Megatron caught wind of the Forge being stolen. Even if he didn't know where Dreadwing had gone, the Forge suddenly being removed from storage was probably a bit of a sticking point.
And besides, Dreadwing has never really succeeded at doing anything. Starscream, the traitorous piece of slag he is, does have a tendency to get things done, after all.

I just hope that Starscream give up, at least for a while. In third seazon Shockwave is back, so we can have a completly new traitor in Megatron team :D

Considering how hard situation is, why Bots don't call Wheeljack?

Also it's strange that Vehicons seems to be completly useless in this episode. It's like they are truely efective only in small numbers.

I think truely sory for Dreadwing, he was a honorable warrior, and a loyal servant of Megatron, yet everyone lie to him.

I can't wait to see a seazon finale, I wonder did rumors about Decepticons victory will be true...

Because they're probably as pissed as Ratchet is about the stunt he pulled in "Hurt."

They aren't rumors. One of the writers of Transformers Prime told us things don't go well for the Autobots in an interview.

When are they useful?[/quote] Actually, Vehicons can prove they abilities. In figt two on two in "Darkness Rising" when they were worthy oponents to Arcee and BBB. Later one Vehicon slow down Bulhead for a while few episodes later. In "Armada" they slow down a Insecticon hive for a while. In "Human Factor" they were at least a solid wall...
