Fixed. ;)

Seriously, I liked his robot design.
But you gotta admit that there's still definite room for improvement.

I know this. but I liked that the parody white knight had his eyes opened to the realities of war and villainy, experiencing first hand (and frighteningly enjoying) the sadistic nature of that which he despised. Being Jetstorm changed him for the worse, and it was interesting seeing him try to make amends for his past sins while being eaten up inside by guilt. He was put in a tight position and had to overcome his inner demons, which I felt was an interesting take on the character.

But what was left over wasn't half as good as what we started with, that's the problem. Character development is one thing, but you don't remove everything that made the character good to begin with.

Room? Yes. Urgent? I'm in no rush.

Yeah I'm sorry but I never was fond of any of the "Newer" forms most of the Beast Era characters got. My favorite form of Primal was always the black gorilla he started the series out as, Silverbolt as the Gray Wolf/Eagle, Dinobot as the brown Velociraptor.

The newer stuff kinda killed BW for me...

I absolutely adored the Transmetals toys. "Dinobot 2" and Prowl especially. I still have the white Prowl and even found a black one in the deep dark depths of a shop corner that I got for my wife. If they ever release a little minicon owl I'll get it for my Son a build a robo-nest to display the three of them in. Nyul nyuk nyuk.

To head back closer to topic- I agree with the 'too many versions of Bumblebee on the shelves' sentiment, but I'm quite taken by the new Beast Hunters 'archer' Bumblebee. I think it's very unique for a Bumblebee, yet fits together very well as an overall look. Definite present for a couple of the littler ones in the extended family.

We don't get much here but I'll be thrilled to get the Prime Prowl you posted the pic of (and either Kup or Ironhide). I only bought Wheeljack so far and have passed on CJ the last 3 times I went to the TF aisle cuz I'd rather buy a used classics version someday from the net. Don't want any others except flying terrorcons and I don't like any of the S3 stuff revealed so far.

Essentially, the whole collection I have isn't mine anymore but I'm holding it in trust for my Son.He has to get a little bigger before I pass it on or he'll murder everything. I barely add to it- the last DotM & Generations stuff never arrived & I won't switch sizes to the cyberverse stuff. Good hauls will come again tho. Gives me time to focus on murdering my old G2 Tfs & Chinese G1 ripoff TFs in order to build my 40k Ork army to apocalypse scale. Hur hur.

There is no Prime Prowl toy. I was talking about Pr-Owl and Inferno from Beast Wars:

Flying Terrorcons? There are no Prime Flying Terrocon toys. There aren't any Prime Terrorcon toys period, other than Cliffjumper.

I think he might have been confusing them with the Vehicons.

For the people who say that Beast Machines was good. No. It contradicted how Beast Wars ended. Waspinator was left on Earth, but ended up being that motorcycle character. When they left Earth they were in their transmetel forms but they looked like their first forms at the beginning of BM. And they made it where they had organic life on Cybertron before any of them were inorganic. It was so horrible, I hated it.

Launched from a giant catapult into space, right into the Transwarp left behind by the shuttle the Maximals took back to Cybertron. Waspinator actually shows this in a flashback.

And before you say how unrealistic that is, we're talking about Waspinator here. Anything related to him immediately gets a pass from reality.

Wigglez wrote:When they left Earth they were in their transmetel forms but they looked like their first forms at the beginning of BM.

Megatron's virus forced the Transmetals to revert to their original beast modes, instead of taking them totally offline. Rhinox and Silverbolt, who didn't have transmetal forms, didn't fare so well. Again, this is explained in flashbacks.

Wigglez wrote:And they made it where they had organic life on Cybertron before any of them were inorganic.

In the G1 cartoon, the origins of Cybertron were never really made clear, but in the Marvel comics, it really was organic before Primus fused with it.

Wigglez wrote:It was so horrible, I hated it.

That we can agree on.

All of those "contradictions" are explained if you pay attention.

1) Waspinator grew bored of being a god to the Protohumans and the Protohumans grew tired of his presence. They catapulted him from a tree and took his sweet time returning to Cybertron.

2) They went back to organic forms because of Megatron's virus.

3) The organic Cybertron was explained in the G1 Marvel comics.

It's been a while since I saw the episode. I thought he hit the Transwarp rupture left behind by the Maximals. I guess spending four million years floating through space would make a bit more sense...

F*** it. I still didn't like it. And is there a date for season 3 of Prime yet? I still don't have Hub but I can still find a way.

How Waspinator got back was never explained. All we know of his returned was summed up in his, "Took forever, but way worth it," line, which doens't tell us much.

HOWEVER, there is an apocryphal answer. The final chapter of the post-BW comic series "Primeval Dawn" would have shown us how he got back. Artist Dan Khanna once explained that Waspinator would have accompanied Primal Prime's group back to the Beast Machines-era Cybertron through a stable Transwarp portal. Though, we can probably assume that he wound up there ahead of the others since they didn't arrive until during season 2 of Beast Machines and Waspy's spark had to already be there for Megatron to use for Thrust. Ergo, he might've somehow reach Cybertron at an earlier point than they did.

Of course, since this issue was never made, it's all apocryphal pseudocanon and thus up to the fans whether or not they wish to take it as canon.

I myself like to think that something at least similar to this might have happened since Waspy's spark was on Cybertron, available for use as Thrust. and Primal Prime's group did reach Cybertron since they start off there before they leave the planet to go on their own mission.

I could just see waspinator flying back under his own power mumbling about how the universe hates him.

I know they showed the catapult. And being forced to drift through space for millions of years before crash-landing on Cybertron does fit Waspinator's theme of being hilariously sad.

Episode 2 Vortexx edits I noticed -

After Megatron slices at Terrorcon Cliffjumper, Cliffjumper stumbles for a bit and then the scene switches immediately to Megatron's "You see, Starscream," line, cutting out Cliff's body splitting in half and falling off the platform.

Jack's line of "Robots who can die," was cut.

And, as usual, more new commercial break transitional fades.

I just finished season 2 of Prime. After seeing season 1 with Unicron, I asked myself "How are they going to top that?". They have by bringing Megatrons fortress to Earth and leaving yet another cliff hanger with OP in the destruction on the Abot base. Why do I have to wait?

To temporarily return to the topic (not that I don't love bashing Beast Machines for any aspect of it that didn't involve Megatron or the clever uses of G1 references), I'm really looking forward to finding out what happened to the unaccounted for Decepticons.

Airachnid? Can control the Insecticons with her mind. If she survived, she can cause a major revolt on the Decepticon warship.

Cylas/Cylas Breakdown? Well, I think we're meant to infer that he died, but I don't buy it until I see the corpse. Depending on exactly what Knock Out's studying and dissection entails, he could be back, if only for a one-off.

Shockwave? I think we'll get some understanding of what he's been up to, but I really hope he sticks around and joins the Cons proper, and then Hasbro makes several toys of him.

...I admit to being a bit biased on that last one.

Edited to add: Oh, and those absolutely bitchin silver Jet Steves; I hope we see a small number of competent and effective Vehicons joining the fray.

Knock Out's supposed to work with the SynthEn he collected at the end of "Stronger, Faster" in season three. I've been speculating that he uses it on Breakdown's thoroughly examined corpse, or himself.

Shockwave? I think we'll get some understanding of what he's been up to, but I really hope he sticks around and joins the Cons proper, and then Hasbro makes several toys of him.

I'm sure he'll be sticking around on Earth for a while. Depending on how the Rage of the Dinobots comic goes, I think he'll take advantage of the bridge to Earth and start looking for the Dinobots while letting Megatron use his Predacons.
