Dr. Arkeville is just some looned up mad scientist that helped the Decepticons in 1984 w/hynotizing humans so Megatron could bring Cybertron to Earth to transfer energy from Earth to Cybertron. He was left for dead by Megatron, & then Starscream took him to Cybertron to a secret lab where he would destroy Earth, the Autobots, & the Decepticons. Arkeville tried to interfere w/Screamers plans but was shocked by the Decepticon-use-only generator. Subsequently, the shock left him damaged & Starscream rebuilt him into a full Cyborg partly as punishment because of trying to interfere w/his plans. We don't know what ever happened to him.

He was just kind of forgotten about in Starscream's lab. By now he would be a skeleton with robotic parts hanging off. Poor Archie...

So he had now a full robot body with a human brain?

So Starscream likes the idea of destroying Earth, or was that only for that one time?

Yes, he's a full cyborg retaining only his brain & head.

Starscream also tried to burn up the Earth in "The Revenge of Bruticus"

Wow, that Starscream can be such a doofus at times. The Earth has a lot of potential Energon sources and also other stuff like metal ores and whatnot, he would be destroying a chance to save Cybertron all so he could cook Megatron and the Autobots. He would be leader of a dead army and ruler of a starving planet. Like I said, he can be a doofus at times.

Just curious, where these both G1 episodes?

well lets just backtrack for a sec dr archeville first appeared in ultimate doom which was where megatron used him to use hypnochip control which would enslave a slaves mind. then theres the next episode you guys mentioned called countdown to exticntion which were both in season 1 where screamer tried to destroy earth and the reason for this is to collect the energy from the earths explosion. then of course the revenge of bruticus where he tried to destroy megatron and anyone else on earth till the combaticons betrayed him

And for future reference, "The Revenge of Bruticus" is a Season 2 episode. "The Ultimate Doom" & "Countdown to Extinction" were Season 1.

Well, Screamer did say

"I will be the ruler of the universe, even if I'm the only LEFT in the Universe!"

Only Screamer would be blinded by ambition enough to not realise how incredibly boring that would be.

Plus he would end up going mad from isolation after a while.

Edit:To be honest, if I were there in the cartoon, (but then it would become real life once you entered it) I would be spending most of my time trying to boot Starscream off the Earth. He doesn't seem to be good for it and only wants to destroy it. I like him, but at times he deserves the title "Giant Winged Rat." Besides, there are other planets in this solar system and others where the energy would a lot easier to collect.

Or have him lead every assault. If he succeeds, then hey, you won. If he fails, then hey, he's dead. Either way, you win.

Didn't hehave a big hand in the Binaltech/Masterpiece story? Creating Starscream a new body or something (hence his having a toy made to sit in MP Starscream's cockpit)? In the TV series, he was left pretty much to his own devices after SS left, but he comes back DEFINITELY in the BinalTech Story. I think he creates Nemesis Prime or something..

The 'cons would become a common site flying in the skies over my area. I live near three nuclear plants, and nuclear plants are probably good sources of energon. Though strangely I would be tempted to wave to them as they are flying overhead. Or call them names or something as they roar high overhead just to see if they will react. But they would probably just end up ignoring me though.

The good Doctor, along with most of the other supporting cast from G1's cartoon, features in the Binaltech Storyline.
