Why is this called Retribution when the on-panel title is Redemption? Even the filename is Retribution. Odd, that.

I was always interested in a more flushed out story for the action masters line. This gave some nice insight into that era.

I always thought that *ONLY* the characters with Action Master toys became unable to transform in fiction. That the likes of Getaway, even Swoop, Sludge and Slag were spared from the effects since they didn't have Action Master toys.
I do let the toyline strongly influence my choices for my own imaginary fiction (i.e. fiction I think up but don't write down) since Transformers is primarily a toyline. I even prefer to not use fiction only characters in my stories either. Like, I'd take Impactor and Emirate Xaaron and look for an appropriate toy to replace them with. Their name and appearance would change to match the toy but the personality and role in the story remains the same.

I don't know about Getaway, but all the Dinobots along with a ton of others were revived with Nucleon near the end of the G1 comic.
This story would have been a nice continuation upon the G1 comic, but not the toy storyline.

Oh sure, Swoop, Slag and Sludge were revived by Nucleon. I'm saying that since they didn't get Action Master toys, that they were spared from being disabled by the Nucleon.
Perhaps a cure was found before they lost the ability to transform.

I like it, shows a sort of...different Grimlock I guess, it's refreshing.

Maybe, we don't really have a frame of reference for how long it takes till the "loss of alt-mode" sets in.
