The Hub has been running a new promo for this week's episode of Transformers: Prime featuring everybody's favorite Autobot mad scientist, Wheeljack! However, it looks like Wheeljack has traded in his lab equipment for a pair of swords! Check out Wheeljack in action in the embedded video below.

At first I was like:

"YES! Wheeljack in G1 colors! YAY!"

But now... Seeing him charging into a laser war-zone with humongous swords of death and destruction, I'm guessing that he dies at the end of the episode.

And his ears don't flash when he talks! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Having flash back's to Cliffjumper already.

This show is beyond amazing!!!!! Cant wait for the next episode!!! But I really cant wait to see what Devastator looks like!!!

If anybody could post a image of the new wheeljack in a full body shot I would be extremely grateful.

Looks like there's a possibility that the Turncoat scenario I proposed before for Wheeljacks appearance may happen. Also looks like this version of him is channeling the Spirit of IDW's Drift character. It's pretty bad-ass (albeit somewhat insane) bringing swords to a gun fight, but even more bad-ass when you actually win and I'm getting the funny feeling that even if he doesn't win, a lot of bots will go down before he's done.

Yeah, I'm guess he "sacrifices" himself at the end of the episode too unforunately. I don't see the cast getting any bigger than it already is..

For all those people who expect Wheeljack to build Dinobots: Anticipate anything. Expect nothing.

Ole Jack is back and looks friggin tough!!! I approve

If they want him to be a one-time only character, then they'll have to kill him in this episode (Though I hope they don't) since they can't leave the planet.

Let's really hope that he'll be in main cast for a while.

So he goes from geek to Drift wanna-be? I'm starting to like Prime!

If they pull another "Hi-and-Die" like they did with Skyquake, I will be dissapointed.

THIS! All of this! Especially the Starscream thing. I loved Animated Starscream, but this...is wrong.

So much for Wheeljack being a permanent character.

At lest it had clones.

this show would be so much better if it were actually in HD.

For a show done with 3D animation the stories and characters are very 1D.

You could almost speak the dialog along with the characters. It was like they pulled the last 2 episodes out of a Mad Libs for TV scripts!

Wheeljack is one of my all-time favorites, but for how they used him, you could easily have replaced him with ANYONE else. He seemed a helluva lot more like Drift than Wheeljack to me.

I REALLY liked the original 5-part story, but since then each new episode has just gotten less interesting.

I hope the show is just in a lull.

Just saw it. Wheeljack isn't Wheeljack at all! It's merely ROTF Sideswipe in disguise! He has harnessed the power to morph!

I think it was pretty good.

They could have given REAL Wheeljack some more screentime, though.
This incarnation of WJ isn't quite what I was hoping for (I too am a G1 WJ's fan. He really should have gotten more credit) but this one's really cool too. They MUST make him return sometime. WITH an ALT-mode!!!

Wonder if this is the only time we see Makeshift?

Is this really the first time we see Prime smiling?

The WRECKERS are first mentioned. WJ and Bulkhead were in the Group. (A matter of luck and time if we get Kup and Springer, too)

Starscream was bleeding... FROM MOUTH!! Should have spitted a tooth while he was at it.

Wonder if the guy from next episode's preview is related to Lord Chumley? (Himself or his hired soldier or his son, maybe?)

Next episode: I'm pretty sure I saw Prime with a TRAILER!!!
And we get Fowler again!
