Munka Spanka/ Jazz answered finally revealed...

IN Five Faces of Darkness part 1, we see Autobot Jazz racing at the Galactic Games. He clearly wins the race but the announcer says that Munka Spanka won and not Jazz. There are many rumors about this. some fans say that this was changed since voice actor Scatman Crothers had died before FFOD was released and that Jazz would have made several appearences in season 3, due to the popularity of the character...althought just why the name change for FFOD pt 1 would have mattered weather if Scatman had died or not is beyond me...
so therefore I just contacted Flint Dille, the writer of FFOD and simply asked him. He wrote this back to me:
"Hey Dash... Here's the best answer I can give you. I have no recollection of changing anything because Scatman had died. Given that he died on Nov 22, I'm thinking that we must have recorded 5 Faces long before that (though he might have been sick). Monka Spanka was a disparaging term we used for lazy people in the office -- like the guy spent most of the day spanking the monkey. This was not in reference to any of the Sunbow Staff."
okay, considering Jazz was not in the original script for FFOD, somebody at AKOM just threw his charcater model sheet in there for the heck of it and he was animated in. I do find it funny that a anagram for spanking the monkey( Munka Spanka) made it into a TRansformer cartoon....
