Nicely done. I dig the line about Rodimus realizing why Magnus couldn't cut it. Really, if you were the new leader of the Autobots, and the previous guy had been banging his head against the wall trying to end a war for 4 million years, wouldn't you have the same feelings?
And yes, WM, I'm sure he knows he's talking to a dead body. People talk to the dead all the time. He's being sarcastic about expecting a response.

Sometimes it's best to be careful on what you wish for, even if its a sarcastic one

Well atleast he's not whining like he did in the cartoon. Way to suck it up Roddy.
Nice one guys. Artwork is quality. I'm still surprised at how much I DON'T like seeing Prime dead.

The artwork is amazing, and I also enjoy the reasoning behind Hot Rod over Magnus as leader.
I did have one bit of confusion...it seems that, in the first sentence, Hot Rod is saying that Kup is incorrect in assuming it was Magnus' self-doubt preventing him from leading, but in the second sentence Hot Rod says it is because Magnus really *does* doubt himself.
What is the difference between self-doubt and really doubting yourself? Or am I missing something entirely?

He was saying Kup thinks its his (Rodimus) self-doubt, not Ultra Magnus. Rodimus was saying that Ultra Magnus does doubt himself (Ultra Magnus).

>>Kup seems to be asserting that Rodimus has self doubt, whereas he is simply reaffirming that he is certain of his abilities just that "the issue isn't who I am."
Then Rodimus states that it is Magnus who has doubt.

The idea is great, and having Rodimus address the issue of Ultra Magnus as an inadequate Prime is also compelling. The writing and the panel placement can be tightened up, but as others have said, the artwork is superb.
1 Thumb up!

To be fair to Optimus he was dormant for most of those 4 million years.

I just loved the line, "I'm not frightened to ride the eye of the storm when all hell is breaking loose."
That made the mosaic. I love all mosaics with Hot Rod/ Rodimus however, and it's worthy of my 100th post on Seibertron!!

Beautifully done! This is the sort of self-reflection and determination Rodimus should of been characterized with.

Since it's Optimus Prime, he might be hoping for an answer through his connection to the Matrix.
