The combined Maximals and Predacons covers of the Ascending series. Love it!

I notice Retrax and Transquito survived the Mutants.

Scarem! Retrax(who sucks :P . I miss the EPR comcis...)!
Optimus Minor! 8) Armordillo(he appeared in like what, two panels last time)! Lio Convoy!? And Grim's back too, hope he actually TRANSFORMS in this series! Really, those covers in the first series were false advertising.

Here's hoping it turns out as good as the first one, and has some good characterization. Hope Claw Jaw and Snapper are major players, but they don't seem to be...

Hey, do you think *spoiler maybe* the guys who the Mutants chewed up really died? I hope not! That was a really great cameo, btw.

This looks pretty awesome. I'm glad to see that Scourge survived, he was one of favorites. At least Lio Convoy will be on Earth this time. I can't wait for this series.

I wonder if Lio Convoy will be called Leo Prime?

I personally have no problem with that.

Beast Wars LIVES!!!

Do you think Don sold his soul to the devil to get such unhuman talent?

Oh yes! These are the toys I grew up with, and I'm so glad they're getting this kind of treatment. I'm not sure why Grimlock looks furry there, unless Don was going for the "feathered raptor" look, which is fine. Just for the record, I would buy a whole book of Bonecrusher fighting...anything. He was one of my favorite toys as a kid, and I always loved his design.

This makes me really want more Beast Wars galleries.
*hint, hint*
Even though I have most of these, I'd love to see what Seibs could do with them.

Awesome looking art......Simon is the best in finding what seem to be obscure characters in the Transformers universe and making them soooo compelling. BTW I love those fighting sticks that Leo Convoy is wielding I am hoping for some Bruce Lee inspired fight seens like in Enter The Dragon!!!!

Aw man.

Don't get me wrong, I love it, I do (except for maybe the fur on Grimlock there). I just haven't even bought The Gathering yet, and now I'm going to have to find this one too? Does anybody know if these are sold at Barnes and Nobles?

Anyways, on to the art itself, I think it's really cool that there's so many characters that never appeared in the show. Especially since most of the coolest ones were never there. Such as Manterror, or Claw Jaw (not that he seems to be on here though). Polar Claw looks awesome. I had that toy, and I loved it. Until it broke, but it wasn't major and I still loved it. Unfortunately, I had to sell a lot of them, but I had a friend who took in the good ones for me.

I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying Grimlock has "fur," since Raptors have never been known to have hair of any kind. :-) The guys at IDW and Don himself have all said that Grimlock is covered with small feathers to keep up with the idea that raptors were actually a feathered dinosaur. I kinda dig the look myself.

As for the comic, I can't wait for it. The Gathering was setting everything up, so there was only so much that could be done with it, but several characters really stood out as enjoyable (namely Torca, in his few short scenes, as well as Snarl, B'Boom, Wolfang, Bonecrusher, Razorbeast, Spittor, Drillbit, and Magmatron to name a few). With what Simon Furman's confirmed for this series (a bunch of Japenese characters making their appearance, as well as some more G1 characters, and a certain giant planet munching menace, perhaps - taken straight from Neo, I believe), it definitely sounds to be more on the epic scale than the first.

Oh, and that artwork is awesome, too. :-D

Don's great at the 'bots themselves, but his animals sometimes leave a lot to be desired. I mean....that's a rather embarrassing lion head on Lio Convoy's shoulder o_0

Figuero is truely a god among artists. Still, I kinda wish they'd leave Beast Wars alone. It was perfect as it was. It would be nifty if they'd continue where the end left off though. Erase Beast Machines.

Man, that just looks awesome, so many of my favorite toys have never looked so badass.

(This series better have a lot more Torca and Polar Claw in it.)

Glad to see good 'ol Prowl on it.

I hope we get some Prowl time and that he is his G1 self (as the file card said), and that the white (and black versions) are explained as a clone for use as fodder, etc...

:-?
