Robot Masters!!!

had this series continued, I would have loved to have gotten into the story line a bit more. the figures were great, and the fact that you have more then one Optimus Prime in it is wonderful too.. not to mention the fact that it kinda hearkens out to Transformers universe..In certain respects the show is kinda basic, but its also very fun and interesting too!!!

I hope the new cartoon and toy line for transformers 'Animated" will be nice and not silly or retarded as Ben-10 and Teen titans can be. there is a huge difference between robot war, and the Super hero genre.. lets hope the guys in the cartoon animation and writing department figure that out before the series dooms the good name of the Transformers!!

this may be old news to the veterans here on Seibertron.com, but for the rest, i found the video on youtube.com, here is the link for your amusement and enjoyment.

Latest acquisition: RM Optimus Prime RM-01, G-1 cartoon colors. I must say I prefer him to the classics 2 pack DVD version. his altmode has some issues, but darn it if that robot form doesn't have a full G-1 cartoon accurate appeal to it!!

This DVD of the robot Masters cartoon was presented with the limited G-1 metallic Robot Masters Optimus Prime, RM-10. Ebay going rate is $109.00 USD, too rich for my blood! Still very nice...

Hardest Robot Masters to find, Star saber, BW Megatron, lio Convoy, and Victory Saber.

this is the series that should have had great dubbing, and redux on the CGI and combine everything from all time lines and universes into the TF universe cartoon.. but if I had to choose, i would go with this series story line, its fun, new and doesn't involve Unicron. Besides if Hasbro were to buy the Robot masters molds and market a cartoon based on that series here in the US, it would be really cool!!!

you could bring Peter cullen back to do Prime, and David Kaye in to do Primal, and the guy who did Megatron from Beast Wars could return, as well as a starscream guy, and Cullen could do a New voice for Starsaber!!! Now that would surely sell out figures all over, seeing as how that cartoon and series would have something that everyone could enjoy..

Not to mention the introduction of Leo Prime!!! he would make a good US character as well!!

And the reverse Megatron could be dubbed simply megatron and be the G-2 version reborn..or something!! i liked this series, and wish it had legs and the robot masters molds came to USA audiences with a mainframe cartoon series based on this.. my favorite inmage that just makes this cool for me is this:

and that says it all, Megatron from beast Wars squaring off against optimus Prime G-1!!! awesome!!!

Well said, But whats wrong with the TFcog's dub of RM?

BTW, Bringing Cullen & Kaye together would be pretty interesting , because one ocean group VA and one from Sunbow sounds simply badass. Lio convoy's offical voice, I would Immediately pick Neil Kaplan for Lio convoy because I loved him as prime in RID ^_^

Star saber would be a problem, Seeing as Victory will never get a proffesional dub because most G1 VA have passed away and since Victory is out-dated and it lost a chance to get dubbed as was Masteforce & HM, but Pat Fraley would make a good Star Saber.

As for screamer, Easy, Doug Parker. R.I.P Chris Latta.

But yes, Robot Masters is dreadfully underrated and needs to be brought to the US and more eps made

There is more to the robot masters storyline.. in the form of a web comic.. at one time it was on the takara website, since the takara-tomy merge, the site moved.. the text was below the pictures and if you viewed the site thru a translater like bablefish, it was understandable...

I think I have a copy of it somewhere.. If I find it, ill put it up..

also FYI, according to the "Offical takara G1 timeline" Robot Masters takes place in 2004

sweet!! and yeah I agree about all those voice actors, I Still think it would be very easy to release this with a modified story under the Hasbro banner, and just to see all those prime's together would make it for me!! it would be the ultimate fanboy dream akin to Superman vs batman or marvel VS DC comics!!! a joy to watch and collect..

Not to mention the Robot Masters molds could be repainted and marketed to fans and in stores.. Hasbro wouldn't have to do much to bring it here and start off on a good run with it!!

I still think that mainframes CGI would be the best use for this show and would do it justice as it would be a more detailed performance..

Still the Takara Tomy videos that come with the figures is neat to watch, though only having seen it on youtube, the dubbing by FV was nice, though the professional vice talents would make it very very cool...

And please if you can post that web comic, I'd love to know more about this series..

What they need to do is drop this Transformers animated crap and do this, I'd love to see a cadre of primes battling a bunch of Megatrons with beast wars Megs in the driver seat..

Imagine a Robot Masters Fire Prime/fire convoy, or Maximal prime/Big Convoy!!! from Robots in disguise and beast Wars 2!!

Fire Convoy = Fire prime USA name
Lio Convoy = Lio Prime or Leo prime or Pronounced LEO but spelled LIO Prime, USA name
Big Convoy = Maximal Prime or Mammoth Prime, USA Name

That would be awesome!!!
