If you watched FOX TV's Family Guy tonight, you would have caught the Transformers in a funny skit. When Peter counters a comment made by Brian, we go straight to the base of the Decepticons. From there Megatron enters a discussion with a Canoe Transformer. Check it out, embed below!

I found that quite enjoyable. Makes me smile whenever they get Frank Welker back to voice Megatron. And to include Astrotrain, Shockwave, Hook, Scrapper & especially Barrage surprised me. I figured they'd just be cheap and re-color Starscream (even though you can see Skywarp's back). I suppose they just needed to fill some space up. I love when they use TF in Family Guy =)

I liked it. I thought Barrage was cool standing in the backround. Probally whoever drew this had the figure and decided to include him. Glad to see somebody's not scared of lost copyrights stored in someone's attic.

Family Guy G1 skit >>>> Transformers Prime.
Watching Family Guy it's safe to say that the writters are pro G1.
But in a way it's kind of sad that Hasbro has their own station, yet the only way to statisfy my G1 fix is by catching the occasionaly Family Guy and Robot Chicken skit.
Wish I could shove Bay's face into the screen and say "See Bay, this is what a Decepticon looks like!" Then pop him with a rolled up newspaper LOL!

Gotta disagree; Transformers Prime is one of the best incarnations of the series yet and Family Guy is garbage that should've stayed canceled. Having loads of G1 references in this skit doesn't make it any less unfunny.

I am amused that not only was this a snicker worth joke, but that the characters were drawn on model instead of characturized. And omg BARRAGE of all things.

Yes he hasn't been on the new show much which is a concern. Note to Prime producers: Show your elder va's some effing respect please.

He's not doing G1 Megatrons voice because the guy in Prime isn't G1 Megatron, new character based on an old character. The one in Family Guy was G1 Megs.

If they didn't show them any respect they wouldn't have hired them. The story was written up long before Welker was considered to be Megatrons voice, they were probably going to go with one of the more recent Megatrons. The fact that Megatron is in a coma isn't because they disrespect the VA, it's because it's relevant to the story line.
