I am curious and thinking of getting Shout Factory's release of the Takara Headmaster set which is going to be 4 disk and releasing sometime in July or July 5th according to my findings.

But I will not get the Headmasters if this isnt going to be in English dub I dont want Japanese with English sub titles.

If it is going to be in Japanese eng subs I will just get the re-releases of the Beast Wars sets cause mine are the original Rhino sets and are aging and I need to rebuy them.

I am hoping for re-releases for my Transformers Armada cause those are also original sets so be cool to see re-releases of all these.

I am one of the few that have enjoyed all the transformers I even liked the Unicron Trilogy and Animated but sadly dosent look like we will ever get season 3 or RID ever on DVD so I have sctratched those off my wish list and I will just watch them on youtube.

I was just curious on the Headmasters deal if there has been any news. Me I dont think there will be any news until the dvd is close to release maybe in May or June sometime we will get more details.

I cant even find this release on any sites besides Amazon and this DVD place that shows all the releases coming in the year.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for a new dub, not from the G1 cast at any rate.
If it was being done an anime distributor like Funimation I could maybe see it happening, but I don't think Shout! has those kind of resources.

I am just going to get the re releases of my Beast Wars and my Reboots that was one of the 1st anime to be in CGI also this was one of the 1st new cartoons on the CN back in the early 90's back when CN was CN and Toonami was awesome with Sailor Moon and others now CN is crap.

I watch 2 or 3 shows on CN - The Clone Wars, Bakugan, Young Justice and Ben Ultimate Alien.

Then on HUB is GI Joe Renegades and also Prime

I really hope in the future we get re-releases of Armada mine I have had since Day 1 so be nice to re buy those.

So for now it is just Beast Wars and I will watch my Animated and rest on youtube.

It looks highly doubtful for the Headmasters to be in English dub this will be like all others with Japenese voice and English dubs with Japenense dialogue and original music.

4 Disks.

There is an English dub of Headmasters and it's freaking awesome:

Also Reboot and Beast Wars are not anime.

Why? That is just shallow and lazy.

The original Japanese version is superior to any existing dub of it, especially the old Omni Productions dub, which was just BAD.

As for whether or not the series will have a dub, no one knows. If there ultimately does wind up being a dub, it'll most likely be the old awful Omni dub.

So, if you want to watch this series, your best bet would be to either go with Japanese w/ English subs, or not view it at all. If you choose not to view, then you will be missing out on its events completely.

Yes I know both Beast Wars & Reboot are not anime but instead CGI like MS Igloo. Reboot was the 1st to use CGI and one of the 1st shows on CN back when it began in the early 90's back on Toonami.

Beast Wars was the only series besides Prime to be in complete CGI.

MS Igloo is also in CGI a telling of the story through the eyes of Zeon not the Federation it is a short series but good.

I think I may get it, If Headmasters sucks I can always trade it but I may check out diffrent versions of Headmasters on you tube.

Right now I am buying Beast Wars & Reboot and watching Prime on the HUB.

Prime is getting really good dug the Arcee episode I told you that was a new female decipticon also said it wasnt Black Arachnia but a new bot this spider chick isnt anything like Black is but she is sort of like somthing out of Predator.

The whole episode was sort of Predator maybe it was thier way of paying homage to Predator that was Preadator when Jack used the spear and blew up her ship.

Look forward to seeing SkyQuake back wonder if he is back full time or just this sequence.

I can talk all day about Prime but I am just going to do what I say on the dvds for now.

Then DOTM in July with X Men 1st Class same time both movies.

I just hope they do my X Men justice along with the rest of my comic movies.

What does that have to do with anything? No one accused Beast Wars and ReBoot of being anime.

You forgot Beast Machines.

Who cares? No one's talking about MS Igloo.

Why do so many assume that The Headmasters sucks? I doesn't.

Not important. You can't even stay on topic in your own topic.

He did himself in his first post.
Also ReBoot is not the first CGI animated show, that would be Insectors.

It does, the only cool thing about it was Sixshot, then they ruined him near the end by turning him into Daniel's babysitter.
The rest is just a really good example for bad anime and bad anime clichés, Masterforce is far better.

The Headmasters had an actual overarching plot, something the G1 cartoon was desperately lacking in. And it was much better than that lame, green fleshing-infested, 3-part not-finale "The Rebirth".

but, yes, Masterforce was epic on all levels (even if it had some flaws of its own, but the pros outweigh the cons of that series by far).

Did I ever say that the G1 toon was "teh bestest ting on the hole times!"?
But at least in it Spike didn't fend off Trypticon with a pistol , or Daniel stop believing in alien life just because that "UFO" turned out to be Galvatron, or Pirate ships in space, or Spike trying to settle things with Galvatron in a diplomatic way, or have everybody going on about "teach us your Transformation techniques". The G1 toon is stupid, but in an entertaining way it at least had it's good moments, while Headmasters is annoyingly stupid.
