I'm gonna have to say Beast Machines.

-Ugly battle graphics like multicolored flames
-Jetstorm's annoying quips/one liners which he usually says in some ironic way when he's about to make a attack.
-Lack of energy based weapons for the Maximals, they only had natural tools and seed based bombs.(guns)
-The fact that it was never actually explained in full detailed speculation in the show how megatron falls of a ship and when the maximals arrive it's like he got a 4 week advantage. It would've been nice if the show implied the maximals were probably unconscious/in stasis for those weeks BUT NOPE NO EXPLANATION WAS GIVEN.
-Toys were not show-accurate and even had inaccurate transformations... mostly all toys for BM Optimus Primal.

Not to mention everyone was horribly out of character, Nightscream, the poor plots, Nightscream, the lame/rushed ending, (have I mentioned Nightscream?)...

My vote goes towards beastmachines as being the worst ever TF cartoon series.

Yeah Nightscream is:

He's a friggin EMO.
He screams people to death.
His face is too close to being human.
He's hunchbacked and very ugly as such.
Did i mention he tried to get a role in the Twilight movies.? #-o (it's a pun because of his vampire biting habits)

I feel bad for doing this, but Beast Machines isn't the worst series IMHO

The entire A/E/C trilogy is so bloody awful it makes RiD and Beast Machines look well written.

Beast Machines and RiD were bad in their own rights, but not trilogy bad.

Animated, and Prime are both awesome series. G1 is still my fave

To me hands down was Beast Machines it was to organic, Optimus was a preachy wuss and isnt harcore like he was in Beast Wars.

The characters were dumb and the dialogue was horrible and the episodes were crazy and dumb.

Worst Megatron ever.

RID is 2nd but after watch it again I like it more but it been 10 or so years since I saw it on Fox Box back in the day.

I actually enjoyed the Unicron Trilogy I didnt enjoy Animated until it picked up in Season 2 then Season 3 but it was good then.

here is my list from my favs

1. Armada
2. Prime
3. Beast Wars
4. Generation 1
5. Animated
6. Cybertron
7. Energon
8. RID
9. Beast Machines

Does Cybermissions count as a series? That was awfull. I like BM myself. I never got all the hate on it. Sure it's a little 'out there', but some of the conversations between Primal and Megs where great. Nightscream was, well, at least not Wheelie.

I've had that same sentiment for years.

I'd have to say Armada, Energon & Cybertron as joint worst. I can't think of a single redeeming feature of any of them.

I actually quite like Beast Machines despite the problems mentioned above!

It actually was explained, in retrospect. During the travel through time back to future Cybertron, Megatron managed to free himself from the hull he was tied to and as a result, got out of transwarp early, meaning he arrived weeks earlier than the Maximals did (like the time destination for the Maximals was, for instance, May 31st, but Megatron landed at May 1st instead). Ah, the fun of time travel. ^^ He immediately worked on the virus that would decimate Cybertron's inhabitants, so he was all ready for the time when the Maximals arrived.

I'd say Energon.

The series starts out pretty good, but after a while it becomes really boring.
Oh, and Kicker annoys me to no end.

Definately RID. Then Beast Machines. I love how deep the show is, but turning Cybertron organic is just BS. The reason I like transformers is because they're robots, then they went and screwed everything up by making the planet organic. What a load of ass.

Actually, that was Autobot-Hellstriker's point, not mine, but while I'm here: I don't buy it. Thing is, they were moving through time and space. Yeah Megs breaking free would have dropped him out weeks or months before the shuttle, but it should have left him stranded millions of miles from Cybertron. The Maxi's should have arrived weeks before he managed to float back.

You're forgetting we don't exactly know how quantum-mechanics and Space-Time exactly work, and above all, it's all fiction with different physics at times. For all we know, he dropped at the right place at the wrong time, literally :P As long as the story provides an explanation that makes a decent amount of sense, I'll buy it.

Anyhow, back on topic, if we're counting every single show, it has to be:

Generation 2

... for the single fact it was a rehash of Generation 1.

Energon. I'm sorry, even though that was the series I started on, looking back, it was pretty suckish to me.

I've pondered on beast machines and i think beast machines could redeem itself if it was little less about repairing the eco system. But Beast Machines Thrust(AKA BW Waspinator) did leave the show with a good quote in one of the episodes.

"If you're loyal to everybody, can you really be loyal to anybody?"

With a quote like that the show might have some slight unpolished potential but the large turn-off factors were the too much plant vs machine theme going on and the ugly art-style. =;

Show Rating: 4/10

Well, Armada has a great Starscream arc, a legit good 'final' battle between Prime and Megatron, a Unicron toy and Megatron sacrificing himself to prevent Unicron's return. So... not bad, there.

Cybertron had improved graphics, gave us a Cybertron/Primus toy and overall, their toys were superior to the previous two series.

Energon... has anyone else read the TF wiki article on it? The series sucked.

I can win this thread with only two words:

Kiss Players.

EDIT: Bleh, you said cartoon series. Way to spoil my absolute victory.

I'm going to have to go with Armada and Energon, with their near-constant animation and scripting errors.

Animated

You'd think that Sumdac would learn that every time something bad happens that his "Friend" has a program in it

Bumblebee's head is the size of the earth

Blitzwing is obviously a hint to: Terminator, Belloc, and any insane person,

Too many Bumblebee repaints in the Cybertron episodes

To many human villains and not enough Con’s

And c’mon: Professor Princess? Meltdown? Nanosec? Slo-Mo? Lame.

Blackarachnia is not sexy

Optimus is a kid!

Making toys of characters that never were on the show

Swindle is a walking infomercial

The stereotypical New York Constructicons

Dinobots can’t even talk

Wreck Gar is acting special needs

Transformations sucked, I mean look; a swift criss-cross of color?

Sari is a wimp

The “other” little kids are stupidly designed

Guitarformers?
