Making jokes about the wheelchair guy, Bumblebee? Uncool.
I hope Rodimus doesn't die in the upcoming Chaos, but I have a feeling it's likely.

Why does Ironhide act like he's never been to earth?

When he was rebuilt by Alpha Trion he lost a lot of his memories.

Looks like it may be ok to dip back into the waters. I've been waiting for this issue to come back to Transformers. I'm hoping this won't be as disappointing as the past few months.

And as the comics finally move into the Chaos series and wich Andy Schmidt gone, I actually start to care again.
BTW whatever happened to the evil megagun things? They drop that like a bad habit? Ah well the IDW collections will get me caught up eventually.

.....So many questions.
With Megatron in their custody... What are the Decepticons doing?
With Soundwave still presumably shot in the face, who's holding the fort down Shockwave or Starscream?.......Or will Galvatron pick up the slack???
Why did Megatron surrender to begin with?
And when will the stupid annoying human dialog ever Cease? No one cares how they feel. It's caused me to route for the Decepticons to kill them all on general principal.

sweet jesus this is the best writing costas ever done on a TF book.
it actually FEELS like a comic.
i presume roberts has been suggesting some things as this reads like a totally different author.
thank christ.

To answer the question about Hot Rod : Hot Rod was blasted by the rebuilt Megatron in space when he took the matrix back from Starscream. Floated around lost in space as the matrix revived him and grafted itself into his chest, until he landed on the planet with the green alien guy and wheelie where Wheelie removed it to power the ship to get to Cybertron where they picked up Ironhide an Sunstreaker who were rebuilt by Alpha Trion.. As far all the other questions, you got me?

Kind of...because they're using Biblical references and story structure to tell the narrative.

That looks really good. I gave up reading after I think issue 12? Whichever one Bumblebee gets shot after. However I'm intrigued.

For the love of Primus, now Mike is trying to force Costaism on us...
Excerpt from the year 20**, Vector Sigma archive:
... Thus, Costa finally found out he was unable to write Transformers, the perk that was allready known amongst those who called themself fans of Transformers. He broke his own fingers never to be able to write such monstrosity again. He withdrew into a cave, where he feeded on moss for the rest of his life.
Thus, the fandom of transformers rejoiced, for once again they were liberated from a terrible writer.

actually theres only one thing that bugs me.
why is bluestreak saying hot rods back from the dead.
isnt the last the earth bound bots saw of him was him stealing UMs ship and doing a runner ?
no one should know he went after megs and near got totaled by him unless im missing something major (and ill admit i could, im only getting the trades for costas run)
seems to me the far BIGGER shock is the return of ironhide whom they all SAW die.

Maybe they don't recognize him without a frown on his face?

I thought that was cliffjumper…
anyway, they all saw Ironhide die. they assumed Sunstreaker died back on Cybertron, sacrificing himself to the Swarm in restitution for his unwitting betrayals. they assumed Wheelie was looooong dead.
so returning with all these dead "people"…
EDIT:
I'm curious as to whether Ironhide's old body is still around…
Could we end up with a "Moon" scenario, or could his memories be retrieved and integrated?
Also, if it is still around it would be interesting (if well-written) to see what it's like to see your own dead self.

im really hoping thats the way it pans out.
hell i can SEE the guy standing over his corpse in my head now.
its rife for interesting story telling. makes you ask the question would he even WANT to intergrate those memories as the decisons he took lead to his death.
right now big red has a new lease on life.

lots of fun could be had with this concept.

Megatron surrendered to throw a monkey wrench in the human/autobot alliance. he was the one who told prime that spike killed scrapper.
and I do enjoy the human dialog. for years I watched the autobots and decepticons engage in war on earth, with little repercussion to the human populice (the g1 cartoon for instance). I would hate to see countless battles with no consequences to the planet.

Im really not a fan of changing artists halfway through the issue. But I have quite enjoyed the last 2 issues of ongoing and it looks like things are getting bigger.
Also, I couldnt help reading all that text without Cate Blanchetts voice in my head LOTR style.

I love how Mike Costa channeled his inner Tolkien for this issue. I love the line, "And although old wounds had not fully closed... the urge to forgive overcame all suspicion and, in that brief hour at least, all were one."
Fantastic set up for Chaos!

Scary 20 issues of pretty much crap and then they land an actual thoughtful well thought out issue..............I'm scared
Other than this issue, they only have 2 mini series worth a damn to read.
Maybe IDW has woken up...............maybe, but I'm not holding my breath
