OMG those pages were made of win. I haven't been this excited about transformers in a long time now. I love all the references to LSotW too. It reminds me of such good times. Can't wait to read this

I'm no comic loon, but this is a really interesting series. I'm getting a Soviet Russian vibe coming from Megatron and Impactor. I'm sure Impactor's personality is modeled after Vladimir Lenin, but I'm not sure who Megatron is supposed to represent from the Russian Revolution.
Sorry if that sounded smart-ass-y.

hell yeah !
seven pages that read longer than most comics ive read these days.
i have NO problem slapping down money for the other 14 pages.
by the looks of things LSOTW isnt a fluke, theres some lovely subtle layering going on in that and bets of all its gone in a direction i
neverwouldve thought of.
that said i never thought i'd see megatron portrayed as rick from the young ones !

I really need to start reading these, the previews just aren't enough... And I love Megatron's look! I would kill for a toy of that.

If you thought the first seven pages had good dialog, wait until you read the entire thing. Great face-to-face conversations here. First time I'm happy with an Ongoing comic. Worth every penny, this one!

Is tomorrows release date confirmed? I usually check with Diamond Comics so I know what's coming out that week and don't waste gas on a trip to the shop.
That being said, this isn't listed as being released tomorrow but later in the month.

Does this series have any ties with the 4 part Origins Megatron series that was introduced in 2007 ?
Im assuming this because he has the helmet that he wore back in the mines and if im right about this being related.... then i think this new series is actually tied in somewhere before the the events of Origin Megatron.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with most of these posters. I am really tired of writers writing Transformers like they were ordinary people and not highly advanced transforming aliens. I mean, hangin' out in the bar getting drunk? Then getting in a bar fight with cadets? Cadets for what? They're friggin' robots! It's lazy writing in my opinion. And what's with Megatron? He has morals now? No. Me no likey. He should be a rat bastard. Some of you probably thinks this adds layers to his character but to me it's contrived and unoriginal. Darth Vader anyone? It would be much more interesting to me if he was always an a-hole and just decided he was better than everyone else. Kinda like my neighbor. I like the art though. And the story seems to be getting wider in scope which is a welcome change. I just wish they'd stop writing the dialogue and settings as if they are just big, mechanical humans, especially on their home planet!

Somehow you must have missed the entire franchise of Transformers from 1984-present... These are not robotic machines, they are autonomous robotic beings from the planet Cybertron. They are sentient and have an agenda. They have fre will and are fully capable of independent thought.
A comic book about robots performing their "programmed functions" is called a
User's Manual. You can find one with just about every electronic device.

Just out of person curiosity, what do you picture the transformers doing pre the great war.

So what your saying is that regardless of the faction, the Transformers are mindless machines that have been programmed for a specific job? Oi, you're gonna have to watch
every single series all over again...
