Can't cartoons be edited?.

I was watching original TF cartoons the other day because I didn't feel well. It's gotten hot here and I was outside cleaning my car.
I was thinking, why can't obvious animating mistakes be corrected when they make copies?. Is it not possible or do these companies not want to correct these errors because it might take extra effort and expenses.

Sure they can. The problem is finding a company willing to put in the time and money.

You've already nailed it. Companies like Madman and Shout are in this to make money, and they're not going to take the time and expense to reanimate a 25 year old cartoon. Even if it's a few seconds here and there, it's simply not cost efficient.

Besides some of us get a kick of picking out those split second error or mishaps

Not all of us. And even though I already own three versions of G1, I would pay for a fourth is that one had as many animation/voice errors corrected as possible.

As would I, as much as I love this cartoon, I get irritated with all the mistakes. Probably I watch it more then other TF cartoons so the mistakes stand out to me more.

Yeah. Star Wars, Star Trek TOS and even some episodes of Doctor Who have had special effects redone. It's time for G1 to get a facelift!

What, and remove that certain quirky charm only terrible editing and dubbing can produce? Sod off!

It's... not charming. Not really. Not in the least. It's distracting and sometimes embarrassing to watch.

Yeah, but the "Special" editions of Star Wars IV-VI are an abomination. (Han. Shoots. First!)
Leave the classics alone!

Admittedly Han not shooting first
was awful...
But for the love of Primus, I want the damned seekers colored correctly! That is
NOT too much to ask for!

I do NOT envy whoever would have to fix B.O.T., Child's Play, and Carnage in C-Minor.
The sheer volume and variety of errors in the G1 cartoon make it unfeasible to correct them all, some of the worst fouled-up scenes would have to be totally redone.

I would be happy if all they did was fix OP's silver mohawk.

Don't forget the Five faces of darkness.

However ambitious a project this would be, it would b amazing and a perfect time to release G1 on Blu Ray.
G1 Redux anyone?

because it'll take a lot of money and violate the laws of man and God to bring chris latta back to life. if i know the fandom, if some dubber manages to do a 100% accurate copy of all of latta's(and any other dead g1 voice actor) they'd still moan for the original.

I know the fandom, too. And trust me, I don't care how much they'd whine. Besides, any mistakes he might've made pale in comparison to fixing the damned animation errors!
