I am wondering if they made the 1986 movie on Blue-Ray yet.

I have me a PS3 now and I wanna get my Tansformers movie on BR if they made it.

From my knowledge I dont think the 1986 or any of the Transformers series has been transfered onto BR yet.

But the only deal on BR is the live action movies 1 & ROTF.

No, neither the G1 nor the movie are on BD. I honestly don't expect to see it happen, either.

I will just stick with my old Rhino G1 sets of my Generation 1 sense I have had those sense day and the Sony Remastered DVD 1986 movie.

Least I can get my DOTM on Blue Ray

Yes, the 1986 movie was available on Blu-Ray in 2007... in the UK.

However, there are no special features, and, while it is in HD, the video master used for this release was the same one as Sony's 2005 DVD release in the U.S. So, if you already have that version of the movie on DVD, it's not really needed to get this Blu-Ray version.

It is available on BluRay in Australia, with Rodimus on the cover, I believe. It think it's the same as the 20th Anniversary DVD.

So, it's in both the UK and Australia. Typical.

This is one of the things I must have before I die, a US release of TF:TM on blu-ray.

Permit me to disagree respectfully. It may take a few more years but I believe they will get around to publishing the cartoons on blu-ray. Wait a few years and the money-grubbing will kick in to glean more money from the TF fan-base. I would personally like to replace my G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, 1986 Movie w/ Blu-Rays simply because that is the next stage of technological advancement, even w/ it's plethora of security.

Yeah right I honestly now dont believe we will ever and I mean ever get the Original G1 or the 1986 movie ever release on BR.

This has much of a chance as RID or Animated S3 ever coming out which is slim to none it isnt going to happen.

While I am an original G1 been with transformers since Day 1 this is would be like a wet dream coming true the ultimate transformers fans dream.

Stratch that the ultimate dream would be RID, Animated S3 and then Generation 1 + The 1986 movie getting on both Blue Ray and Original DVD.

But since Transformers is a mess and unknown on who owns what but we do know that G1 + Beast Wars is owned by Shout Factory.

Last we seen of the 1986 Movie was done by Sony which they re-mastered the DVD I currently own.

My G1 sets is my original Rhino ones I have had since day 1.

Unknown about Armada Rhino was the last to have this it was releases in prts like Season 1 then Season 2 which took forever to get out.

So right now transformers is a confusing mess except for the Movies which always come out either on BR or DVD.

You're not looking at the trends in entertainment; BD, hell, all physical media, are a dying format. I'd bet that within two to five years DVD and Blu-ray will go the way of the Betamax and everything will be on streaming media.

Personally, I can't see the point of waiting for a BD release of the older shows anyway. Prime and Animated (should Hasbro and Cartoon Network ever kiss and make up) are at least in HD, I can't see anyone ponying up the cash to re-remaster the older series to actually take advantage of Blu-Ray.

The original series maybe not, but the 86 movie? Definitely. If it's out in the UK and Down Under, it'll come around here as well. May take a while, but it will.
