For those of you who are fans of Playskool's Transformers Rescue Bots, here's some exciting information that was sent to us here at Seibertron.com earlier today.

The Hub TV Network has some news to share about "Transformers Rescue Bots," the upcoming new animated Transformers series, created specifically for younger viewers. A sneak peek of the first two episodes of the new original half-hour series “Transformers Rescue Bots” will be presented Saturday, December 17, from 12 – 1 p.m. ET. The Hub wanted your site to be among the first to know. The series will officially premiere in early 2012. We've included the series logline below, and the series logo is attached. More information and images will follow in the coming weeks.

Created for the younger generation of Transformers fans, the new series from the creators of “Transformers Prime” will feature a simpler, more traditional animation style in a show that centers on a group of Autobots charged by Optimus Prime himself with protecting and learning about humans while stationed on an island off the Eastern seaboard that serves as a high-tech testing ground. Voice talent include Steve Blum (voice of Starscream on “Transformers Prime”), John DiMaggio (voice of Bender on “Futurama”), Maurice LaMarche (voice of Morbo and Calculon on “Futurama”), Lacey Chabert ("Party of Five") and LeVar Burton (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”).

We're excited about having the new series AND season two of “Transformers Prime” on The Hub’s schedule early next year!

"Transformers Rescue Bots" Series Logline: From the creators of "Transformers Prime" comes an all-new animated series following a group of Autobots charged with a mission to protect and learn about humans. Stationed on an island off the Eastern seaboard by Optimus Prime, the "Transformers Rescue Bots" – Heatwave, Boulder, Blades and Chase – team with a human family of first responders including a police chief, firefighter, rescue pilot and engineer to maintain peace and safety in their new found home. Alongside their new human friends, the Transformers Rescue Bots learn teamwork and heroism in a series that brings action, adventure, heart, and humor to the Transformers brand.

Sweet, I've been waiting for this for a while, and it seems like the cast is awesome.
...It's kinda strange to be so hyped over this. I'm as almost as hyped about this than when Prime came out! That Rescue Bots Prime just sold the series for me. :P

Its going to be weird to adjust to some of these new, yet familiar voices. Especially with Peter Cullens not as Prime. I will have to give this a shot though, since I love Steve Blum. I've also been waiting forever for someone like John DiMaggio to make a voice appearance in a Transformers cartoon =P

Right on. One more way to expose kids to the Transformers franchise!

I have the Optimus figure and that's a fun toy.

it looks like it's got a great voice cast.

i'll tune into the first 2 rescue bots episodes because it's free for me to do so.

I wondering if i'll like it or not. as long as they don't break out in songs & dances, like barney the dinosaur. i'll probably end liking it.

I'm hoping it has a Super Hero Squad vibe to it. That show is a lot of fun.

Was going to watch it... but that voice cast makes this a definite MUST WATCH!

I don't care if its for toddlers. I watched the last Playskool Transformers cartoon and got a kick out of it too.

It was made around the time Transformers Armada came out in the US (I think), but it wasn't really a "Transformers" cartoon. It was Go-Bots, based on the PlaySkool toys, after Hasbro bought Tonka, and was only around for 4 episodes. It wasn't too good, but it is an interesting curiosity watch.

Anyway, I don't have The Hub, so hopefully they will also post Rescue Bots on their website, or iTunes as a free download, like they did with Transformers Prime episode 01.

It's nice to have Maurice LaMarche part of the primary cast on a Transformers show, especially after his (Apparently really horrible) one time voicing session in G1.
