Derrick J. Wyatt, the mastermind behind the Transformers Animated universe, has tweeted the character model for an Animated G2 Straxus. In addition to the neon color typically associated with G2 the evil Decepticon warlord also sports a fair amount of animal print. Are those leopard undies?

So if Animated gets revived as Transformers Animated: Generation 2, Lord Straxus will be binary-bonded to Pimp-Daddy Destro. Ah, now the final piece clicks into place.

Now if Scrounge was revived for G2, a simple repaint wouldn't suffice. He'd have to turn into a cross between a monster truck tire and the Cobra Buzz Boar. Cause, you know, it's more extreme.

Somehow I see him being voiced by Dr. Roxo the Rock and Roll Clown from Metalocalypse.

Even in these colors, I still hear Kevin Michael Richardson as Straxus in my head.

I remember those very well. There was one more where the boy wound up on the front lawn acting like a lawn sprinkler, to which the dog remarked "Say it, don't spray it!"

I'd buy that in a second if it actually existed! The leopard undies are a nice touch.

All of these sketches are giving me a hard time with my Transformers customs. Have yet to find a decent mold for an Animated Straxus, might just use the Generations mold and add a bit of weight to it..

this pic is two reasons why some fans prefer to make believe that both g-2 & animated never happened.

Hmm...This comment makes me think we've seen one of next year's Botcon toys. This could very well end up being repurposed as Shattered Glass Straxus.

Never pictured the Decepticon poet in these colors. I saw him as being more in Emirate Xaaron colors.

I'm trying to be a more positive person, especially online, but honestly? I can only quote James Lileks:
{This pic is} The visual equivalent of granulated glass in your eyes. Looking hurts. Blinking hurts. Rubbing hurts. Blindness, when it comes, is almost a comfort.

Given Straxus' normal personality, I always saw SG Straxus as a '60's era hippie. And if those colors don't scream "'60's era hippie", what don't?

It's not that. It's just that I figured that since Straxus was a U.S. Marvel Decepticon carried over into the UK, it made sense to me that his negative counterpart would be colored like the UK Marvel Autobot carried over into the U.S. ;)
