I Want to see Hotshot again!

First thing, Yes, I know he was in animated, and he even got a prototype. But that didn't exactly count to me, as he was backround cannon fodder, like rodimus minor, and not a re-accuring character. I long for the good old days, Armada, Energon, Cybertron. Before Bumblebee came and got re-introduced in the films, it was all about that OTHER yellow car! Is it such a bad thing to want to see him again? Maybe we'll see him in prime. I doubt it. But I can't be the only one who misses Hotshot, as apposed to mr EVERYWERE Bumblebee...

I loved Armada and seriously like Hotshot. I also feel that a thing like AEC is a farcry from what the TF universe is at this point. Hasbro needs to get really creative to shy away from the current flow, Armada was abold step into a new phase and sadly I think it's gonna be a while before we see something like that again.

I think with every new alternate universe or withing a 5+ years saga. Hasbro selects some kind of yellow colored transformer character for the toddlers to relate to & buy their toys. like Cheetor for BW/BM. Hotshot for AEC. Bumblebee for the movie verse, animated & prime.

I honestly don't like the movie verse nor TF Prime,Bumblebee character because he can't talk in words.

I liked AEC Hotshot the best because he had decent persona,he had goals & evoulved over time. he kept getting higher in rank. his over all persona wasn't that of a kid,he was more around the age of 17 in persona traits.

Personally If I had my way i'd replace bumblebee with hotrod in the movie verse & newer TF cartoons.

Even though they never released the Animated Hot Shot toy (could be a possibility in the future), I'd be done with Hot Shot. 150+ episodes across 3 seasons, generally centered on his character is enough for me.

I Really don't see a possibility for release, unless they plan on releasing all those un-used prototypes into the Generations line, wich by all means, they can be my guest. But this I highly doubt. The question remains.
to whom do you prefer between the two?
Hotshot, or Bumblebee? To me, at least, the choice is VERY clear. Hotshot wins by a knockout. Between silent Camera hog movie bee, R2D2 in Prime, and Animated bee, who never shut up! (But I liked him for it)
I think hotshot is just the better choice as the main bot. Or maybe not even the main bot, just a cool backround bot, like in RID?

Technically, the very first Hot shot wasn't a kid-appeal yellow car type. He was older. A competent, gruff, commanding officer of an elite team of commando ninjas. No, I'm not making this up. Here's what he looked like.

So, I guess that makes the kid from Armada is another case of name recycling. :P

Hasbro said they will never release any unfinished Animated toys (meaning Hot Shot, Marauder Megatron, or Powermaster Optimus Prime).

I Mentioned him in the above post, he was a spychanger, and to this day, I wish for an updated articulated classics version of him, but they did it all wrong. they based it off of the armada design, so that likely wont happen.

I could see him being based off the Universe Sunstreaker/Sideswipe mold.

Maybe. I mention it because many of the Spychanger molds appear to be inspired by the G1 Sideswipe toy mold.

How about this, leave it as it is for a Classic-style R.E.V., and remold the car body parts to be a different model for each of the others: Hot Shot, W.A.R.S., and Crosswise.

Though, Ironhide and Mirage might warrant whole new figures.

Surprised noone's mentioned they shared a mold, though it's only a Legend figure. Then again, there's Shattered Glass Goldbug...

Goldbug, the only upgrade of a character that was really a downgrade.
