I am just reading DW Transformers Generations vol 1. Why is Devastator and Superion towering over skyscrapers in Dreamwave Transformers vol 1? I have a hard time understanding their enormous size. How did they get so big?

Mass shifting. You know, like how Megatron turns into a gun that Starscream can wield.

I didn't realize the Gestalts did mass shifting. I thought the artist was trying to draw them in new "unique" fashion.

Oh you're going to see a lot of that. I'll give Pat Lee a little credit for helping to revitalize the G1 craze but he certainly didn't do much help keeping giant robots proportional to one another let alone themselves.

If you're just starting to read the Dreamwave material, you're going to be awfully disappointed when you realize these are relatively small issues compared to what comes next.

As shown above... what about the mass shift in Optimus Prime's Bot Boobs.
I have to say though that I really liked the way the stories went but was crushed when they went under. I remeber talking to Don Figeoura at Iacon One and he showed me the artwork he had finished for the unprinted upcomming issues and the story line and I have to say the story was going to be amazing.
