Alex Milne has been designing a ton of radical updates for the new More Than Meets the Eye comic series from IDW Publishing. How about a look at some design work on his G1 Skids. No neon green, no gold teeth, no foul language, but this skids packs some serious awesome! Check out the pictures below or head over the Deviant Art page by clicking here.

I dunno ... he looks a little too "tough" and I never felt he was a "tough" character.

An absolutely badass rendition of an otherwise absolutely useless character. Bravo! :APPLAUSE:

I'd say Skids suddenly smells something bad and just decided to check out the source of the stink.

To quote a from a photocomic, Who's Skids?

I know who he is, but if you've read the comic you'd understand

A nice little nod to the original skids having his insignia left of center. Didn't go unnoticed. Well done.

All right Hasbro, we get a dozen figures (or more) between the 2 video games and out of almost 10 years(not counting the Marvel years) of comics we get, what...1 figure? Time to show some love to the comic designs and I'd say that Skids would be a darn good start! I would love to see a toy made based on this design. Some of the other comic book characters would also look good done up as toys, more so even than some of the upcoming video game based figures. Some of those designs just plain suck.(at least from my point of view)
