I'm so excited! This is gonna be FUN! Can't wait 'til November 1st!

Bummer that there's no sign of the missing episodes from S2, though.

They must have cancelled both.

I think I will wait for RID season 1 next year. Not really interested in t-rex mode optimus especially after watching TF4.A t-rex mode suits neither optimus prime nor optimus primal

Oh,by the way,are the rescue bots triple changes? If so, ignore my previous statement.I might look forward to it if prime/primal transforms into both T-rex and truck modes. If not, then another TV show down the drain.

it seems so. but i wish there would be deceptions vs rescue bots to make it more enjoyable for the older demographic. like bots helping a townsfolk and stopping crime. boring I-) I-) I-) I-). but i never have seen optimus transform into a dinobot, unlike his nemesis, megaton who was a dinosaur in 1996 in beast wars. but optimus's Dino mode is a Hodge-Podge at best for some reason to me. look closely and you will see what i mean.

Thanks!!!!I strongly agree that optimus should have kept his truck mode only.A triple changer sounds cool but looks like they have gone too farImage.

exactly. i read about what you said in the forums that you said that there should be TRUKK NOT T-REX and i had a good laugh indeed! :D thank you for spotting the horrendous Hodge podge in optimus prime's t-Rex mode.

but......
i found a reference in one of the 2 new episodes. when prime has his t-Rex mode, he becomes a prime hunting target. it relates the time when in the 1980s, the episode 'prime target', optimus is hunted down by a rich British hunter for his head, his head!! anyways, the Hodge podge syndrome has spread to the others and even bumblebee who transforms into a Dino i cant seem to understand.

What's with all the multiple posting?

Also, Decepticons are the LAST thing this show needs. [-(

i think this season is going to be about autobots becoming Dino bots and mainly helping townsfolk.

firstly, you can never be sure if your post went through to the forums or not and secondly, i understand you completely. this show is aimed at younger audiences but i just want some decepticons being in the show in some way. not in a violent way but in a way that makes them seem like the other villians in the show. nuff said :BOT:.

Actually you can. If there's a server hiccup and the next page doesn't load, just copy and paste what you've typed, press the back button and hit reload.

That being said, Lockdownhunter, you can use the "Edit" button instead of adding different messages one after the other if no one's replied. Image

But having Decepticons in this show would defeat the purpose of this show's existence. The Decepticons of this continuity equate to the warfare and violence that this show is trying to avoid.

If any Cons were to show up in Griffin Rock, they'd discover that the island is not only full of advanced technology but is also harboring four civilian Autobots unfit for combat. And Megatron wants nothing more than to have every Autobot destroyed, and thus would likely make Griffin Rock his newest target, putting all of the island and its inhabitants in jeopardy.

The only way a Decepticon could could show up and not report back his findings to Megatron would be if said Con was to be killed off before his could make it back to the Nemesis, which is something that would NEVER happen in this show. Or if said Con chose not to return to Megatron for some reason, which would be a pretty dumb thing for that Con to do.

fine, i admit it. its for the kids and i understand completely this is for the children who love the transformers, but i am just used to transformers bashing each other up. on the other hand, every single child loved optimus fighting deceptions in the original cartoon and i believed that they should recreate this on the rescue bots.

Well, the current IDW comics are arguably the most well-received TF fiction on the market right now, and the war's been over in those since 2011.

There's more to Transformers than just fighting, and Rescue Bots has been brilliantly written enough to not only illustrate that point very well, but to also warrant a full third season of more of it. It's a sitcom, something we've never gotten in Transformers before, and has proven successful thus far.

i read all the comics about it and i think their G1 plot was a brilliant reboot.

with all due respect, speaking of fresh and new ideas, i know there is more than just fighting. but go back to the 1980s. think about it, when the transformers came out back then, it got every single child and toddlers, adults, you and me and everyone in this forum (well not everyone i meant, just figuratively) and you know what happened? optimus and his band of autobots, always fighting against megatron and his evil deceptions to save the world and it had no negative influence on anyone who watched it. the death of optimus prime in the cartoon movie however, made us learn that we can lose a father figure or dear family member and that life occurs and you must move on.

these days, i as a kiddie fan, would like to point out that i knew the transformers very well. i watched them, all of them and i have just gotten used to the concepts of autobots :BOT: vs evil deceptions :CON: and i admit. it gets boring. Hasbro is trying something new and don't get me wrong, i love no fighting deceptions for a change. but if Hasbro can go back into the golden ages and revive the concept that made the generation one series so successful, that will turn old audiences on. but if you look at it closely, its like a bit of a throwback, just no fighting. nuff said :BOT:

p.s is it really a sitcom? :-? :???: i don't see how.

Trust me... for a show aimed at toddlers, you want to have less fighting. The first objective of Hasbro with this show is to sell toys to toddlers who's parents don't want violent toys.
The toddler aimed shows (which is why all the Rescue Bots toys are in the Playschool line, Hasbro's toddler line)never have violence in them. Never. Period. As far back as pre school programming has gone, it never espoused violent themes.

Believe it or not, Rescue Bots is educational... at least in basic themes of working together, respecting each other, being confident in yourself, empathy... it's sort of like a robotic Mr Rogers (I had a couple years of early childhood education classes in college, then went into broadcasting... I can pick apart kids shows). I seriously doubt the shows was pitched for having any true conflict. Every episode has a lesson, and that's how they wanted it.

Though I'd love to see some Decepticon action, particularly since Steve Blum is in their cast, and I'd give anything to have his Starscream back, it is not happening in RB. Well, I guess it is possible... since at various times in Prime Starscream was willing to work with the Autobots when it suited him... and he did show a bit of honor on occasion, I just don't think they will (why wouldn't Starscream, on returning to the Decepticons as he frequently did, not tell Megatron about all that was going on on that island? He probably would tell.)

As for the dino modes, I'm curious to see how that will play out since they laid the foundation for triple changing already with Heatwave. I suspect (not that it was hard to suspect since just before Heatwave got his 3 rd mode Hasbro released the Rescue Dino Bots toys) that the point and purpose of Heatwave's sudden need for a 3rd mode (and then consequently only ever using it twice) was to set the scene for a need to have them all have dino modes; but not give up their vehicle modes. Though it also is possible that they just rescan, but it seemed a little to co incidental to have Heatwave get a third mode that we haven't seen a toy for.

Rescue Bots is already bland enough. We don't need to pointlessly add Decepticons to turn an uninspired series into G1 levels of crap.

Episode 2: Big Game- Optimus Prime's new Dinosaur Mode becomes the target of a big game hunter.

Would you call him a....

Beast Hunter?

In all seriousness, I was worried about this concept being handled poorly. By the synopsis for the premiere, it looks like my worries were not without merit. This already sounds really ridiculous. Looks like I'm avoiding season three as well.

Let's see if RiD15 pisses me off instead.

ctrlFrequency gets it. Hating on this show is pointless and juvenile. It was never meant to appeal to an older audience.

Yet as part of the older audience, I still enjoy it for its simplicity.
