The Fanoftransformers1 YouTube account has been updated with the second promo for this Saturday's all new episode of Transformers Prime "Operation Bumblebee - Part 1". This clip gives us our first glimpse of Dreadwing in his animated form, and it appears he is indeed a repaint of Skyquake just as the official Cyberverse images indicated he would be. Check out the embedded clip below.

Dreadwing's voice makes me think of Tigatron. Not a bad thing
Also, this shot is awesome:

Well, Optimus is back...that means the show is back to being boring.

So, in addition to being a lazy recoloring of Skyquake in Depth Charge colors, he also sounds like an evil Tigatron.
I already dislike Dreadwing. From the promo, he looks like another generic bad guy.

for some odd and completely random reason, some people think this guy was designed before skyquake. which is bs.

There are other characters in the show, some are kinda cool, it's true.

Dreadwing seems to show rage over the Autobots, probably over the death of Skyquake. Here are my two theories on the subject. Since Dreadwing is a repaint of Skyquake, Dready is:
A. Skyquake's Brother B. Skyquake revived and reformated into Dreadwing C. Unscientifically and inexplicably all of the above O_o
Um, forget about C...please...

I'm not sure I understand why some view Optimus as boring in this show, everyone has their own perspective, but still. He's fine to me, I mean he HAS been at war for millions of years, watched his home planet die, and the being he thought to be like a brother cause all this. He's lost a lot, but remains stoic and strong. I know it can be argued that the other Autobots are veterans too, and "why do THEY show more emotion?" Well, I suppose that, yes, they have had their own past saddening events, but Optimus was involved with Megatron at the beginning of all of this, so this war is more personal.
Beneath all that, he still has the honor, qualities, and compassion that make him Optimus. That's my two cents on this matter. Sure, Movie Prime may have these cool flashy moves and kicks butt in his fights, but he shows even less emotion than this one does. I suppose the writing of the films doesn't help with that though... In my personal opinion, this Optimus is perhaps my favorite Optimus next to G1, he has a good origin, some of that G1 quality, and kicks butt too. He's an all around great character to me.
On topic, I am looking forward to what Dreadwing will bring to the table!

Glad I wasn't the only one that thought that, but I'm actually happy about that. Looking forward for that figure.

He's voiced by Tony Todd, who voiced The Fallen in ROTF.

The creators have said that he is to have a "compelling character arc", so he can't be another one-off bad guy.

This makes sense. First action of Mech making their own transformer was them opening up a Decepticon and looking inside him (having a brain fart cant remember his name). Second action was they witnessed Arachnid scan a helicopter for her alt form and transform into it. Third action was now they did something to Bumblebee's transformation cog, disabling it while scanning it or removed it some how in that energy burst they shot him with. Very soon their will be a Mech transformer especially since Starscream joins their side soon....I would say now all they need is a spark of some kind and they are all set.
