I don't care, I hate the look of this new Transformers Cartoon. Anyone else?

I want to see and hear it in action before I just give it the 'ol kick in the @$$, but I did hear the transforming was going to be tasmanian devil style spinning to the new mode, which didn't help my thoughts.

Still it has Prowl as a character, so I'm willing to give it a chance... :grin:

As a CEO of CN, I can say that I have read this thread and we are pulling the show off the air and scrapping development just for you. Also, you really hurt our feelings.

They thought it would be "new and kewl." I wonder what the 'cons look like....

What I wonder is, with a bunch of Tf fans over the age of 15, why don't they just make a cartoon for those folks? Why is it only for the kiddies? Or at least make it for the older kiddies. AT LEAST ONE SHOW. Come on Cartoon Network, throw us a bone here!

But you haven't seen the animation! Only static character designs. Just because the style is different doesn't mean the animation will stink.

I remember my Dad talking about G1 Transformers, and later anime, when I was kid. He grew up with Disney and Warner Bros-style American animation, so to him that's what a "good cartoon" was. He hated Transformers because the style was different to what he was used to.

This new Transformer cartoon couldn't be that bad. Just look at Energon and Cybertron.

Because it is business.

The animators who animate in this style already work for them in other cartoons, so they don't have to hire someone new and be paying more people, instead they just give the workers they have a few cents more each hour and save a whole lot from their profit.

incase you didn't notice, you happen to be one of those "bitches" simply for bitchign about everyone else's bitching. Quite frankly your comment doesnt help the situation at all and infact helps add fuel to the fire.

As for everyone's complaints, while i generally can see what they are upset with (i too share some of their feelings), however, I have become open minded especially after talking with the design team, and listening to the panel at botcon on sunday. I think this show will be good, as long as the decepticons dont take too much of a back seat to the human villains. With what they've planned for the story, characters, and even personalities, it really looks like we're getting a slightly larger dose of g1 influences than we've had since beast wars season 2 and 3. Granted I'm not fond of the "teen titans" art style, but with whats been said about the show, I think I can put ym differences aside with the art style and accept the show for what it is offering. Also your wish for the fans to "stop bitching" has pretty much come true now that they have confirmed they will continue classics (but under a new name).

Really wouldn't bother me any. I haven't managed to watch anything for more than 10 min since the Japanese ended G1.

I thuink really, what most of us want to see is just a coninuation of G1 in some shape or form. Like pick up the story where it left off after season 4, or spin it in a new direction from season 4.

I mean, I don't see how giving Prime Batman's jaw, or having Tamanian Devil transformetions is at all conducive to a good show.

I'm not too concerned though, theres always next decade. :-P

I'm ready to give it a chance. Good voice actors, good writing, and good story seem to be in the works, as opposed to the Unicron trilogy, because it was only a dub, so it only had one of the 3, I'll let you figure out which I mean...

I think the animation style will work. We got to see the 'sizzle' and it looked really cool in motion, with the voices... My interest is peaked regardless!

I dont think g1 will ever be back i guess thats why they canceled it. Also did you know they actually transform they said they were just going to use the tasmanian devil transformations sometimes to speed up the action. Or was it only one of the transformers transforms in that style. Anyways i dont see a problem becuase if a remembered correctly. If statement 1 was rememered correctly that would be ok becuase we still get to see there real transformation somtimes. If i was right in statement 2 well then thats ok i can live with out seeing one of there transformations.Also prime dosent have batmans jaw he has a heros jaw most super heros have a large jaw. and from different angles his jaw isnt really that big. I would say give this serries a try I was at botcon and saw what they had to offer and what i saw was very similar to g1 but of how i could tell it it match up more with beastwars type story. But anyways have a nice day :grin:

Good point. I think it's also that this style has worked really well for them in the past...even on well-established franchises like Star Wars. Regardless of how we all feel about it (I, for one, think it probably won't translate well to TF...and I'm saddended to hear the Autobots will be fighting more human opponents), you know ALL of us will sit down to watch the 90min pilot.

DON'T EVEN go there. those were two of the best series ever to me, way better than super cruddy G1

Not all characters do it, we saw it happen once with Prime in 'the sizzle' at Botcon, they said it is not supposed to be an ongoing thing, just sometimes with this character (who did transform normally too). The other transformations we saw were fluid in cartoon, and not stock footage power ups or anything...
